I have mixed emotions about this. On one hand im glad because he became a chucker that didnt play defense. On the other hand I think a few guys will get better once the triangle is gone and I think he is one of them.

Yeah, but the bad news for the lakers that we won't have money to find a replacement.

I agree 100%. although there will be better options in free agency, we won't get em. May be a blessing he's leaving but most likely will hurt us. We thought everything was all good when we finally got rid of Sasha, turned out we could have used his shooting and defense on barea against Dallas
“If this is his team, that means no more coming into camp fat/out of shape, no more blaming others for our team’s failure, my team doesn’t mean only when we win it means carrying the burden of defeat just as gracefully as you carry a championship trophy.”

Also add to the fact the MLE will most likely be gone which makes matters worse.

I dont get Shannon's and his agents thought process on opting out if in the new CBA there are salary rollbacks Shannon may get a 2 or 3 yr deal but he'll be making less money per year than he was with his last Lakers contract. The Lakers will find a replacement guys like Rush, Gibson, and maybe Morrow are available threw free agency or trades.

Best news all offseason.

This means we can look at signing a upgrade at the PG spot(with Blake backing him up), and have Fisher take over Browns minutes at the backup SG spot.

Are you saying Shannon wont make less than 2 mill next year? If so, I dont agree with that. Thats pretty much why the lockout is happening.

The lock out is happening because Brendan Haywood gets 10 million a year.
