Assuming that all teams' rosters were cleared and there was a draft with the Lakers having the 8th pick, who would you guys pick? The following players would be unavailable.

Chicago: Rose
Portland: James
Cleveland: Howard
Dallas: Durant
Miami: Griffin
New York: Wall
Utah: Wade
LA Lakers: ?

Why don't we have a higher pick?

Is there reasoning for this 8th pick or is it random because you thought of 7 good players? Seriously asking

"I based the draft order on attendance figures"

Lame. I'll trade the 8th pick and my 12th rounder for the no.1 pick and take Lebron.

Why would Chicago take Rose over LeBron or even Dwight for that matter with the first pick rofl. This topic doesn't make sense.

These are the kind of topics we might have for months. Talk about basketball and nothing else. Summer should be about trades and free agency and Summer camps and looking forward to the fall and staying up late on nights to see the Lakers play in Hawaii.

Billionairs and Millionairs need to get this worked out for us non $$$$$$$$$$ type of people.

So are we drafting these players currently or as rookies?

if you want to win rings for the next 2-3 years, Kobe is still the right player for the job. but since its starting a new franchise ill probably go with a younger player in chris paul. you get youth + still having chances to win rings.

This is a WEIRD though honestly it's something sun to consider ... imagine if the NBA just blew it all up and started over with, say, 20 teams and had a draft with all players involved ... whoa, that would be crazy but would easily be the most watched draft ever and fans would be glued to their televisions as long as it lasted! I do think "Big Name Superstars" would be drafted first even though they're older as they generate money for the owners even though the smarter draft strategy would be to draft YOUNG talent so you're good for a decade rather than 2-3 years.

The draft order doesn't really matter I suppose ...

Chicago: Howard
Portland: Durant
Cleveland: Lebron
Dallas: Griffin
Miami: Rose
New York: Kobe
Utah: Wade
LA Lakers: Westbrook

The next 7 players I see being drafted (in no particular oder) would be: Deron, Horford, Wall, Dirk, CP3, Love and Steph Curry

It's an interesting thought ... the NBA could certainly do without the following 5 teams from each conference ... Eastern: Nets, Bucks, Cavs, Magic and Bobcats ... Western: Hornets, T'Wolves, Warriors, Kings and Clippers.
