Anyone see this? It was actually his son who spoke for him, but he was pretty terrible. He didn't seem like he knew what he was talking about, and talked about other people more than Tex. I know that Tex was/is in pretty bad shape with his stroke, but I just wish he would have spoke for a minute, instead of his son.

Any thoughts?

Yeah that was like watching a train wreck. You could just see on Tex's face he was like, "Oh god."

That was beyond terrible, the son was loaded I guess.

Tex didnt deserve to go into the HOF with a bad speech like that, I think the Zen Master should have been the one giving the speech on Tex's behalf.

What was this guy on? Tex deserved a much better speech than that.

I just watched this tonight. Wow was this bad. I could barely get through it. So cringey and awful. Tex Winters was a legend and deserved far better than this. Just hope your kids never disrespect you like Winters son did to his legendary father.

Also if you are ever going to read for someone, just f***ing read the script. Nobody was there for his son to spout nonsense or talk about how great Brad Stevens was.

Definitely not a great speech, but probably just a average guy not used to talking in front of a large crowd who got nervous in the moment.

I went to another link to watch the speech (after reading about the trainwreck on sbnation site) I was so afraid to see the confusion and disappointment on Tex's face and everyone so I turned it off before his son got a few sentences in.
Feel for Tex he deserves much better.
