Luke Walton's lockout job

Post#1 » by eckoner » Mon Aug 22, 2011 9:19 pm

He is taking a job as an assistant coach with the Memphis Tigers.
Hopefully he will be a better coach than player and will retire from the NBA...lol

glad he has an NBA opt out, wouldn't want to lose his veteran leadership.

We are in a situation where we might have a little too much veteran leadership for the team's good.

Good luck to Luke though, once he gets waived this might be a career he might thrive in.

When i saw, "Walton to Memphis bench" I assumed they just meant he couldn't even break an NCAA rotation. Turns out this is a pretty good role for him

he'll probably find a better role for his style of play once he comes back. or he could just stay there.

just stay there Luke.

Luke will be the new Sasha Pavlovich on Mike Brow's versions of the Lakers. Plus Luke has got that new j. His brand new step back Dirk like fade away jumper . Next seasons Luke will be awesome!

Sticking with the positives here folks....

Luke Walton comes clean about being the whipping boy of the NBA Lock Out. Say's he was prepared to take on a bigger role before Gasol and Artest arrived.Confesses he is hurt by fans and perception of his career and contract in the media. Now Walton is preparing to become a spot up shooter in the new offense. When asked about the saving of the season he goes on to explain how he is looking forward to coaching Memphis through March Madness.... :o Walton also confesses that he has hired a shooting coach and he will be bring him to his new job in Memphis. Lets wish him luck with his new role on the team :D

Luke can always be productive if he can manage to stay healthy. Too bad his body aged much faster than him.

Odd that he wouldn't want to play competitive basketball during the lockout. Is he hiding something? At least other guys are at least playing!
