My guess is he'll probably end up on one of the other 29 teams roster.

I could see Chicago, Orlando, possibly Boston (if he settles for a backup role on a hope of winning a title) all vying for his services.

New York was high on him last year. CHI if they're desperate.

With the emergence of Landry, I doubt they'd look into pursuing Shannon. I could be wrong though.

I'd expect Chicago to try and sign Richardson first, if that falls through then I definitely see Brown going there.

that's a more desirable scenario for NY. unless Brown also isn't willing to take a back up role for Landry, I don't think he'll go to NY. I guess a 2nd stint in CHI. it'll be interesting to see Rose and Brown during fastbreaks.

Such a genius guess, as smart as something Currency would write.

I wouldn't mind him back but he might fit in with Chicago, New York, or a team where they run a run & gun type system.

I haven't been more frustrated by a player than Shannon of last season since Smush Parker. He single handedly destroyed any meaningful offensive set we could run with his head down dribbling and out of control jumpers. I don't care where he lands as long as he doesn't re-up with us.

Seriously. I have never been a fan of Shannon. Fans and the Lakers organization overrated him to the point where he became intolerable as a player. I never got the hype for him either. He had nice dunks, but that's about it. He can't really shoot--he only chucks. He can't really dribble--which sucks coz he's always doing it. He has low basketball IQ--which sucks even more coz he is (hopefully "was" will be used after this long off-season) our back up SG.

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll go overseas.

You'd like him too if you had more than one ear, the other one is permanently reserved for J. Cole to park his peacock in.

You wouldn't mind him back? As others have mentioned, it's hard to not get frustrated with him and his low IQ. I say good riddance.

he was like an '04 Luke Walton. the first time he got his chance he did everything amazingly well. defense, running and finishing in fastbreaks, distributing.

sometimes a coach's trust with his player could backfire bigtime. hard for a coach since he can have a "He's only in a slump, I've seen him perform better." mentality.

another waste.

to think we gave up on "The Machine" for a couple of highlight reels. another waste.

lol what? The Machine was even worse than Shannon, one fluke year, get paid big time then didn't give a f*** after that...thank god his ass is gone.

well I'd rather take Sasha's inconsistency on 3 and his pesky defense than Brown's 1-2 dunks per night and "I thought I was Kobe" mentality.
