What happened to Kobe playing in Italy?

Hey, huge laker fan here, I just remembered a while back when cobe was in negotiations for some italy team, did it not pan out because of the schedule change?

pretty much. virtus bologna wanted to change the schedule around to have more home games to make it easier to pay kobe and the other teams declined so it fell apart. glad it did tbh.

i probably wouldn't see anything but the highlights on espn or something anyway but i'd rather him rest and be that much fresher for the season whenever and if ever it does start.
