For Non-LA Locals: What if your town got a team?

For those of you that aren't from LA, what if your home town got an NBA team?

I think I would still root for the Lakers, but I would also gear up for the new hometown team. If they played... idk what I'd do.

Toronto Raptors? I go with Lakers as #1, Raptors #2.
The sad part is that when i was younger and visiting my uncle in LA, he was watching a basketball game. I didn't know the teams, so I was just cheering for whoever he was. Then my mom was like, you do know that LA is playing the raptors right? After that i figured out that raptors = Toronto :oops:

But since then, i've been a huge fan of the lakers, but i catch almost every game for the raps

I live in the Pittsburgh area, and it'd be sick if we got an NBA team. But no matter what I am a Lakers fan there would be no question not even a consideration otherwise lol. It would make it a lot easier to see my boys play though! League Pass has been my savior over the years.

No I go to Cal U bout 45 minutes from Pitt. I got a bunch of friends that go to Pitt though lol

They do have a team but I didn't know of their existence until after I watched my first NBA game, which was part of a Philly game, followed by the Lakers.

I remember hearing the name Bullets once and then they were gone so I didn't realize we still had a team until after I became affiliated to the NBA. Washington is Redskin/Hoya city central to the locals.

The closest team to my hometown was the Wizards and I used to watch all their games (if the Lakers weren't on). Not even their announcers are only Wizards fans haha. If you relied solely on being a DC sports fan you'd probably shoot yourself.
