I hate the reason we celebrate today. Of course, the average person who celebrates Thanksgiving takes this as a moment to be appreciative of the good things in life, not a moment to thank the Europeans for using, then murdering the mass population of Indians in the Americas. So just wishing them well in their festivities that are irrelevant to the history of the 'holiday'.

Fair enough, No publicized holiday is true to its tradition, but I'm a big believer in things are what you make of them.
