If you let the media tell it, I don't think there was ever a question Dwight wanted to play here. Financials and trade package is where the true problem lies.

Doesn't matter. Doesn't give anyone the right to walk around with their nose stuck up in the air, that's why Laker fans are hated the most. A lot of hate is derived from winning, but most of it stems from how snobby the fan base is. And not everyone wants to play for the Lakers, go look at the Deron thread.

Besides those who think like that care more about the organization's talent rather than the actual organization.

The Lakers management are working hard to make every scenerio for a star like Howard to come to LA. And they do it in a professionally smart way, unlike the Knicks.

The majority of us on THIS board are like that, we don't buy into rumors. If you go onto the GB however, that's not the case

the dwight to LA rumors aren't new. they've been swirling since last season and it's not a stretch at all to think that dwight could end up a Laker. personally, I think he will somehow be a Laker before the deadline.

I absolutely believe that the Lakers FO is doing everything they can to set themselves up to be in a position to trade for Deron/Paul/Dwight. However, the reality is, the Lakers have very little desirable assets for a rebuilding franchise. Unless if the Lakers make over the top stupid trades (such as Pau/Bynum/Odom for Dwight), the odds of LAL landing any of the FA superstars are very slim.

And secondly how in hell do you know what the Laker front office is trying to do ? There's no real concrete way to even speculate on it. Deron and Chris are up after this season, Dwight can't leave until after next season. So it's all moot. Dwight isn't the elixir this team needs to win now. We have a team NOW that can and will contend in the west. Recognizing and fixing our defensive inabilities will the goal going forward.

All this Dwight talk is BS.
