Have to think Mitch could have done much better than what we got for Odom.

I thought this was honestly the stupidest part of the deal. We give Odom for nothing AND we agree to let them keep the pick if it's in the Top 20?

For giving them a player like Odom it maybe should have been Top 5 protected - max. Unreal stupid.

All part of the 2018 plan where we draft our next superstar courtesy of the Mavs pick? Mitch been scouting at the local elementary schools of course.

The flip side to that TL is this, maybe Mitch know Cuban won't be that stupid to let his team sink to the depths of having a pick in the top 20 anyway. My bet is the Mavs won't sink that far anyway, the Mavs will be for at least the next 4 years anyway in the top 10 of the league. Meaning the pick will end up lower than 20 at some point.

Mitch panicked w/ the 1 week off-season. Mitch should have told LO that he would keep the tea together IF he saw maximum effort.

Still doesn't change the fact that Odom is worth a non protected 1st rounder.

I wanna say that I read shortly after trade, that even if pick falls in the range for us to receive, that mavs still have discretion to delay pick all the way till 2017. I would love to receive this year as this draft is best draft since 2003. Two 1st ronders would be great. Anyone know about this situation of mavs delay??

They can't, I don't even know how that started.

Bottom line is that if the Mavs make it to the playoffs this year we're getting their pick.

I saw it reading that Sunday morning after after the sat nite trade. Wanna say I saw it two diff places, but then nvr really seen any more details since.

Anyway, if we don't put these in a package for d12 or dwill, I wanna use them n this loaded draft. Get some nice prospects that should be able to contribute rite away n be locked in to rookie deals for the next four years than spending them on some of these veterans like sessions, Flynn, and other names that have been mentioned out there. We could prob get our future pg and sf w these two pks.

I saw it on a Dallas article and that's the only place I ever saw it. But that article had so many inaccuracies on it about the other topics it brushed upon, so I'm willing to bet it was just an idiot writer. Hoopsworld, Pro Sports Transactions, RealGM transactions, NBADraft.net etc. all have the pick as being nothing but top 20 protected until 2017, so I'm going with that.

As far as everything else, I agree 100%. We're in the situation we're in right now because we did nothing but trade our picks away, yet people are still in the mood to trade them away. I don't get it. Flynn and Sessions aren't worth mid 1st rounders, especially not in this draft.

Thats cause Khloe Kirdashian represented him in his trade.
