Stephen A. Smith: Lakers interested in Iverson and Alston

Allen Iverson, who sources indicated the Lakers had some interest in as long as he was willing to go to the NBA Developmental League for a few weeks first, is not the answer. He's simply not a point guard. The Lakers are also said to be interested in former Toronto Raptors point guard Rafer Alston, who helped the Orlando Magic reach the NBA Finals in 2009. But who knows if that will materialize into anything?

Iverson... maybe... Alston... no way! I couldn't see Iverson performing any worse than the Lakers current PG's.

We should definitely keep exploring old, potentially washed up point guards.

I would rather have Gil over Alston and Iverson.

Has the NBA not learned it's lesson with Iverson yet?

Says all the right things, plays one game looking like he might pass a PG for once... and two weeks later he's done with the team forever for some random reason.

Skip's not so bad... cocky, but he wouldn't have that same luxury on the Lakers. He's probably better than what I saw from Gil last year, which, admittedly, wasn't much.

Picking through garbage though, really.

OT: No, that's not Swedish House Mafia logo. That's a group made by Rob Swire called Knife Party. If you heard of Pendulum you might know who I'm talking about.

Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party made a song together called Antidote. You should also check out a guy named Porter Robinson whom also has done a remix track with Knife Party called Unison.

I'm a REALLY big fan of trance/house electro/dubstep music

We don't have the MLE because in the new CBA those teams that are over the luxury tax, which is the Lakers, will not have a MLE but will instead have a mini-MLE, which we already used on McRambis.
