Unless the Lakers get Dwight Howard and/or Deron Williams I'd rather see the Lakers trade for Beasley and Sessions than trade Pau Gasol who is still a top 5 PF/C.
Andrew Bynum
Pau Gasol
Michael Beasley
Kobe Bryant
Ramon Sessions

Definitely agree with this. Seems like the Lakers are torn between rebuilding for the future while still trying to stay a contender so that they don't waste Kobe's last few years. I'd rather see them put the complimentary pieces around Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol to able to contend and then rebuild in 2014 when they have the cap space. Sessions and Beasley would be a great start.

+1. I'll also trade Pau for Melo.

I hope that we can get both Sessions and Beasley. I'd even offer a 1st round pick to get each player. Hopefully we use our TPE to get one of them and not let it expire. If you want to build a contender than it shouldn't matter what the cost is. Adding both players keeps the big three intact and solves some of our problems like PG,SF, and bench scoring. I'd trade the TPE and a 1st for Beasley and Walton and a 1st for Sessions and a 2nd. While this draft is deep and we could get a couple of good players late in the 1st I'd rather have a championship contender for the next two years than watch players develop. The two 1sts would also be nice to have for a potential Howard trade but at this point I'm tired of waiting and am more than comfortable with keeping Bynum.

Melo is a new twist... Doesn't make sense with Chandler & Amare... Do it Mitch, I mean Buss...

The general consensus around the league is that the Lakers are overvaluing Gasol. After all, he’s averaging a career-low 16.6 points despite playing a career-high 37.1 minutes. He’s also coming off of a dreadful showing in last year’s playoffs, when he averaged 13.1 points and 7.8 rebounds. Gasol’s stock has fallen and it’s unlikely that the Lakers will be able to receive an elite player for the 11-year veteran. “I doubt Pau goes anywhere,” said one Western Conference executive. “I love Pau, but the Lakers are asking for way too much.” HoopsWorld
Don't expect to get much more then fillers or cap space for him. He is a 30+ and only getting older plus his numbers are just above average. I'm just saying because it's Better to get out side opinions. Not trying to be mean just want u guys to see what us other fans see.

Pau's numbers are only slightly down because while his minutes might be up, he's playing next to Bynum who's having an All-Star year... And plays his preferred position.
I should have thought that would be obvious to anyone.

Oh, so just the smart people then... That makes sense...
We'll do a better job educating folks then.
Thanks, for the feedback.

Another Suns fans comes in here and thinks he knows more about our team than we do. Idiotic suggestions saying " the Laker are overvaluing Pau" is some what (Please Use More Appropriate Word) quite frankly. It's easy to tell why Pau's numbers have diminished, playing along side an emerging All Star can have that effect you know.
Another thing is this....most teams are gun shy to deal with the Lakers anyway, unnamed sources claiming the Lakers want too much is irrelevant to me. If the Lakers want too much then explain why Houston was about to empty one fourth of their team for him ?
Answer is easy....they had to, to say all the Lakers can get is cap space is ridiculous. If Pau leaves something of note has to come back, and it won't be fillers. Pau's numbers now aren't too far off his career numbers. He's averaging 16 points, his career average is 18........whoop dee freaking doo, he's averaging one bucket less. Yeah he's really falling off.
The bad playoff has not a damn thing to due with his stock as evidence proved to what Houston was going to offer.
Now if I said some things about the Suns and how awful they are, how they'll be in the dumps thanks to that cheap ass owner of theirs, and how they have no one of note that anybody in the league would want............this Suns fan will cry foul ! Speaking of overvaluing somebody, what about their asking price for Nash ? Now at 37 that's what brings back fillers kid, Nash isn't worth any teams young prospects.
