Laker games will get entertaining. This is actually kind of a hilarious signing. Who the **** is this guy being signed to guard? Serge Ibaka?

EDIT- I retract my previous comment due to the nature of the trolling tittle of the thread the OP went with originally.

His addition will likely fuel rumors that the Lakers will become even more aggressive in their decision to trade away Pau Gasol.
However, a front office executive whose team has had both internal and external discussions about Gasol, said the addition of Wallace will only be to strengthen their bench.
"His days as a starter in this league are gone," said the source. "I think he knows that, and so do the Lakers. But think about it. Of the big men that are available, is there one that's really better? And if he's gotten himself in shape, adding him becomes a huge get for them."
My first thought was that it was prep for another move... I'm thinking Bynum/Pau for Dwight...
(What if Bynum missing AS practice was also a chance for him to meet with Orl Management)
Not that Sheed is a starter or anything like that, but if that happens, we'll need depth and a starting PF. So he doesn't hurt.
Plus, every family needs a grumpy old man to sit on the porch and tell lies about the good ol days...
I just thought that was Fish... Or Artest... Or....
Good thing he missed the first half of the season and all those "T" chances... Or "Opportuni-'T'-s"...

I like it... Can't hurt... Worst case is a Ron Ron Versus Sheed locker room scrap... Best case is a solid bench contirbutor that plays good defense... Rumor has it Sheed is in good shape & playing allot lately... Keep your fingers crossed...

It's a feint. The rest of the league will be like haha Lakers signed washed up Sheed. But then BOOM, we sign the savior-Adam Morrison baby yessir.
On a serious note, this is likely a precursor to some other deal. I don't know if it's a major deal or a minor deal but activity should be picking up soon. As far as Sheed goes, he's still leagues ahead of Troy in defense even at 37.
