Here’s the thing, too: James knows Bryant goes to great lengths to belittle his unwillingness to rise up in the final moments of his biggest games. Bryant has five titles to James’ none, and had to bail James out in the fourth quarter of the gold-medal game of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Now Kobe was within inches, screaming into James’ face, “Shoot the [expletive] ball!” And, still, LeBron’s instincts weren’t to take ball and deliver it down Bryant’s throat. Score on Kobe, win the game and tell him to go to hell. Bryant would respect that.
So would Michael Jordan. Magic Johnson. Larry Bird. LeBron James is different. He’s probably better than all of them, but nothing in his DNA demanded that he go after Bryant there, that he destroy him in that moment.
“Yeah, he was telling me to shoot it,” James said. “I wish I could have that one back.”

He was scared. This is only a big deal because he turned it over. If he passed it and someone knocked the shot down, the analysts would praise him for his unselfishness-except Skip.

I don't think so. I think with his rep to choke in the 4th even if he got the assist he would still get rip by many.
obviously you forgot these nuggets:
LeBron James was just traded to the Florida Panthers. He should be wildly successful, since in the NHL, there are only 3 periods.
I saw LeBron before the game and I asked for $1. He gave me 75 cents. I said where’s the rest? He replied i don’t have a 4th quarter.
Why did LeBron James get an automatic transmission in his Lamborghini? He’s not good in the clutch.
Why didn’t LeBron James go to college? Because he can’t pass the finals.
Why does LeBron only get served boneless buffalo wings? Because he has a tendency to choke.
Tomorrow is Lebron James day, everyone gets to leave work 12 minutes early.

Even I was expecting Lebron to shoot. He was on fire. When I saw him inbounding the ball I thought to myself wtf is this?

Am I reading this paragraph correctly?

I honestly don't see much argument to Lebron being the best basketball player of all time from a purely, physical standpoint, which is what I think he was referring to. I don't see anyone beating LeBron 1 on 1.

Because when it comes to critical DECISIONS,his DECISION-making sucks. He can't DECIDE to save his life.

Come on, guys. I'm the happiest to see Lebron fail, but he had a great game. They wouldn't have any chance of being close without what he did for them. Besides that, unfortunately, we're going to have to take the brunt of Lebron and Wade going berserk on us on Sunday.

Couldn't disagree more (respectfully, of course).

there are so many variables in that argument. what I can say is that an argument can be made as far as the "probably" part of Wojos stament. not saying Lebron is better just that probably an argument can be made. for all of Lebrons natural gifts and talent he does lack that constant killer instinct that Kobe, Bird, Magic, and MJ have and although that doesn't show up in the stats it does diminish Lebron's argument as better than the others.

He is Dwight Howard in a slightly smaller body. Physical freaks and very powerful. From a purely physical standpoint - it's Shaq and it's not close.
From a one on one - no one is beating Kobe and MJ. That's what they do. They are one on one guys. Lebron is not. What you and Wojo said is absolutely ridiculous.

I don't know, looked to me like he nonchalantly suggested he was better than Jordan, which is something I've never seen a journalist do before. Personally, I don't think a serious argument can be made that he's better than MJ. Better ones can be made about Magic, Bird, et al (though I might disagree).
Just kind of an out of the blue statement from Woj.

I just think Lebron's athleticism is off the charts. The only advantage Kobe and MJ have in one on one is being clutch, but I'm not sure if it would come down to that. Either way I think we can agree that Lebron is wasting his talent with that 15 year old brain and 21 year old ego of his.
I read the entire article. There's nothing like a good anti-Lebron article to get those "The Decision" memories a brewin'.

a prime Kareem would school Lebron so easily. Don't see how Lebron gets a shot off on him. Lebron will just have to chuck three's all game long..

And a prime Shaq would probably hurt Kobe on his way to the rim, he'd probably back him down and dunk every time on his way to the win. Sure Kobe might drain a few shots but once Shaq had the ball it would be over.
Comparing centers to swingmen for 1 on 1 games doesn't really work well.

I wasn't the one who started the comparison. It was Gek who said Lebron was the best of all time from a talent perspective because he could beat anyone 1 on 1. I was pointing out one of the several flaws in that logic.

Obviously a 7 foot, 300 lb player could beat Lebron, especially if he got the ball first, from the standpoint that he could just back down Lebron every time. Even then, I'm not convinced even Kareem would beat Lebron because Lebron is a big dude. I personally believe you're underrating James. I'm not even a fan of his in the slightest either.
