Heard Odom's contract could be bought out by the Mavs and he may be done (personal reasons). Hope it's not true. Love Odom.

He's a lot more unstable than I originally thought. Get better, LO.

Lamar's one of my favorite players and I would really hate to see him retire. The guy still has a couple good years in him.

I don't think he's going to retire, he just needs the rest of the season to get himself back together. I could see him coming back after the season and testing FA waters.

Would love to have him, but I don't think he wants any of the Lakers seeing he feels the way he does. Imagine if he did pull a Fisher though, we would've basically fleeced Dallas of their pick and TPE.

Cuban would go bananas if he gave up a first and we ended up with Odom again.

Retire then you can come back to LA next season. I'm sure things can be worked out again. Just put in a no trade clause next time.

I was thinking, he could go back to the Clippers. He's way better than Bobby Simmons.

I hope he wants to be the 6th man of the Lakers again. I'd more than welcome it.

Uh Odom retiring I think not Klohe wouldn't dare let him quit BBall! All that NBA cash flow aww man no way jose! It's rough enough moving to Dallas! I heard on Petros& Money reported that Khloe was heard complaining out loud while out shopping with one of her friends about Odom being traded.

Odom returning to the Lakers next year?! Are you kidding me! Stern would never allow that to happen. :-?

Here is some more info on Odom's absence...

LO will play till the money runs out. He is not leaving money on the table. Retire when he has a good 3 years left at 10 mil per. I do not think so.

^Especially married to a Kardashian.

Maybe he's trying to get bought out to care for his father and then sign back in LA (or elsewhere)?

They were going to buy Odom out anyway to go after Dwight & Deron, seeing as his his contract is unguaranteed. So not sure what they're getting at.

Wait.... his contract is unguaranteed and we traded him? How does that not qualify as great trade bait?

His contract next season is unguaranteed and I don't really think anyone is going to trade for him now when they 100% know that he isn't fully into basketball. Which is the point doc was getting at with his thread, maybe we traded him before it was too late.
