NBA Fined Kobe, Rondo and Pierce for Missed Charity Appearances

The NBA handed out financial punishment to Kobe Bryant, Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce for failing to show up at charity events during All-Star Weekend in Orlando. Reports USA Today: “The NBA fined the Los Angeles Lakers guard $40,000 for missing a news conference and a mandated charity appearance for NBA Cares during All-Star weekend in Orlando, according to a league official who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about it. In addition, the person said, the NBA fined Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce and guard Rajon Rondo $20,000 each for missing their charity appearances.”

National Basketball Dictatorship. I would feel sorry for these players if they weren't given millions and entire summers off to compensate for the fact that they are all enslaved.

Its the 21st century type of slavery, though. The type of slavery where the billionaires bully the millionaires with the millionaires occasionally moaning about it.
