Classic New Guy Overreaction

Post#1 » by iamworthy » Sat Mar 17, 2012 5:19 am

Sessions looked good to me. Awesome change of pace, turned it on when he had too. In 19 minutes he was the second person to lead in the +/- category, while shooting 3-6 from the field and having 4 rebs, and 5 ast. I really like what I see from this guy. Your thoughts?

He was great! He did exactly what is expected of him. he seemed a bit lost, but i mean he hasn't even attended a single practice except talking to Peace.
I expect him to start by either Sunday or the game after.
He just showed us today that blake is garbage.
We need another PG (Arenas?) he can also play Sg minutes for Kobe.
Overall I love this guys game I don't remember the last time we were the ones running the break!

I think its justified that we are all excited. We haven't had this type of pg for a long time. Having to watch Fisher for so long was just such a pain that now we have a real pg were all just so excited. I love this guy so far. He's quick and has good court vision. Seems as he raises the confidence of players to as he creates easy shots for them. Small sample size, but I like what I see so far.

Kobe seems to approve, tapped him during an interview and a hug earlier. That sounds mad homo.

loving all the trolling we're getting for loving Sessions, speaks volumes of the upgrade.

Yep....and at least we don't have to see this written here anymore....

"the Lakers weakness is fast PG's"

It was never like guys were ultra fast, we just had a vet that couldn't even funnel them to the pressure spots on the floor.

Looked very solid tonight. Not expecting him to be a star for us or anything, but should be a solid contributor. Definitely adds an extra dimension to the team.

i almost fainted when he did the 1 vs 4 man fast break and laid it in. when was the last time our pg made a layup lol. He played great! didnt force anything and played his game. I also like how kobe deferred to him a few times and let him do his thing and control the point. Im soo relieved with him blending in with the second unit. everyone will surely get easier timely shots now.

Getting Blake made it apparent how bad Fisher was.

Getting Sessions makes it apparent how average Blake is.

This is a good trend. At this rate i'll be saying "Getting Deron makes it apparent how..." :D

Anyway, I don't think Laker fans are overreacting to Ramon, nobody is calling him the best point in the league, but in his first 5 minutes he did things we haven't seen from our point guards since Gary Payton in 04. Real, actual point guard stuff.

He's a floor general and a lot faster than I thought he'd be, he'll singehandedly improve our fast break and be great for hustle players like Barnes and McBob who thrive off others getting them the ball in the right spots.

He gets into the lane so easily, its really quite breathtaking. Although that may only be because i'm so used to not seeing it at all. Once he gets some practices, and develops some chemistry with the guys....i'm so excited.

Can't wait for Kobe to start getting some open looks and dishes off Sessions too. This is awesome.

Glad Blake is staying with the first unit, his skillset is good for that team. Feels good to have two guys who I know will contribute on a nightly basis at the 1-spot.

You guys know he'll be starting sooner than later right? I think it'll be the next game after he gets a practice in on Saturday. Blake was only starting because Sessions hadn't practiced with the team yet, not because this is going to be the long term rotation.

Blake makes our starting 5 weaker, Ramon when clicking will make it much much better. He'll still get minutes with the second unit since he's young and Blake is bad.

He is really quick. Did not really expect that.

He and Barnes would make a good fast break duo.
