I think it would be a good idea just to please Kobe as many of his close friends have been traded away (Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, etc.) and he has recently mentioned Turiaf as one of his close friends that left the Lakers... only problem is that the Lakers already have too many PF's.

That's one ridiculous reason to sign an eventual bench warmer, especially given the current context: You have a professional with unquestioned work ethic in Kobe Bryant. His self proclaimed competition is the record books... certainly he doesn't need any motivation to do the mamba. Friends or no friends, he wants that ring and he will do what has to be done. If i'm Mitch Kupchak, i am NOT adding a dime to that ridiculous 30 million dollar contract with the intention of pleasing such a dude.

Somebody is going to rent Turiaf... might as well let the season go by and then look into it.

Btw whats the details of Jordan Hill's contract? That dude is dumb as a door knob. Just like Gerald Green, its gonna take yrs before he's accumulated enough IQ to get some PT. DId anybody see that news conference... Sessions made him look so out of place...

We should of signed him over Sasha.
Watching him in a Warriors jersey was brutal.

He was a part of that 2008 squad that lost in Boston
and he should of been apart of the 2009 and 2010 Squads who got redemption.

Ronny is a Laker at Heart!

No thanks. He's not that good (poor rebounder/defender, foul prone, inconsistent shot), and if we're going to fill another roster spot it should be someone who can contribute.

Sure if his posterior has healed from that Leon Powe assault in 2008.

I'd rather have Ronny backing up Pau than Troy Murphy or Mcbob.
Definitely a more defensive threat than those two.

Either way it probably wouldn't even happen anyways cause we got Jordan Hill.

We already have 5 bigs, and Ronny is no better than McBob or Hill. Pass.

I like Ronny too......but we can't get sentimental, like I said in another thread on here being too sentimental is the death of most teams in sports.

If they can get him for a bargain they should absolutely do it. He's a great locker room guy, and a perfect guy to practice against. He just brings all around good energy. And you can never have too many bigs...
