Wake up Kobe!!

Post#1 » by CodyB_ » Sat Mar 24, 2012 8:21 am

Against the Blazers tonight Kobe started off hot but stank for the next three quarters. Despite their best player and their bench lighting us up, we still won quite convincingly (it wasn't a big margin, but we seemed in control the entire second half.)

Every three positions the ball would hit Kobe's hand, and I knew that it was going to be a shot and a miss. He's becoming less and less dangerous with ball in his hands and he really needs to change what he does.

He was UNSTOPPABLE the other night against the Mavs shooting that midrange off the curl but yesterday he was putting up long bombs, fade aways over three defenders and killing the Lakers ball movement.

You could tell by his body language that something is up mentally and he's trying to over compensate by smiling and cracking jokes. He isn't like that when he kills teams.

Kobe has alot of basketball left. He just needs to realise now, we have that dribble creativity that even the championship teams lacked and he can defer. Let the play making go through Ramon and Pau and watch how this offense improves.

WAKE UP KOBE, DEFER BRAA
Don't be a jerk.

How do you even finish a game shooting 0-11 if you're one of the best in the game haha.

Also I don't know how many of you noticed, but this is a trend. Sure, the Dallas game he shot great, but besides that he's recently been starting off hot (4-5, 5-6, 4-7 whatever) then after that he's been horrible to end the game (3-13, 1-17, 0-11)...

I don't know wtf is up with that, because it's not even about fatigue since he starts his bad shooting pretty quickly, like in the 2nd qtr (unless he's super **** old now where he's tired after 10min).

Lets go with positive thinking, at least he is playing beastly against good teams. Just think of it as black mamba playing around with a dead prey.

We gotta keep in mind that we are playing and winning regular season games like they are reular season games. Kobe-the black Mamba-mother effin Bryant will show up and carry us in the playoffs like he knows how.

For some reason I still feel like Kobe is trying his hardest to keep his scoring average up to get the record. :s

You're being crybabies over Kobe when Bynum gave LMA everything he wanted?

29 points on 66% shooting and 5 for 5 from the line. The only thing more embarrasing than Bynum last night is your crying after Kobe just crushed the Mavs in Dallas.

Someone has to be the voice of reason and calm this thing down before LA finds yourself in the fifth seed and swept in the first round. CALM DOWN!

WTF are you talking about? Pau was guarding LA the majority of the game.

These games are meaningless and Brown needs to play him a lot less. If he does this during the playoffs, then we have a problem. But, last night showed us that we don't need him on top of his game to win. We'll get by.

Kobe's shooting problems are easily correctable, this is nothing to really over exaggerate.

I fixed that hysteria faster than expected.

That's right and when he starts making those hero shots again then everyone will chant MVP. He got to the line as usual so his production was still high despite a bad shooting night. Scoring 18 when you go 1 for 7 from 3 is not bad.

Dude only took one or two shots in the fourth, and largely let Sessions do his thing down the stretch.

Some bad shots in the third, but this wasn't an example of Kobe trying to be the hero.

Kobe's shooting as of late has been horrific. I'm starting to be surprised when Kobe even hits the 40% mark in FG%

I give Kobe a lot of passes this season as it seems he is always adjusting to injury, being healed, a mask, losing the mask, but it's time.

Kobe's reaction had more to do seeing his kids before the game than anything else. He had a bad game. No excuses. But he will have a good game next time.
