The Blame Game
I'm trying to get a consensus of who Lakers fans "blame" or are mad at for the current up and down struggle that is the Lakers season. You can vote for up to 3 options.

I blame Jetset. But Mr. Potato Head gets a close second.

Re: The Blame Game
Mike Brown is worthless, Bynum is immature, Kobe is all out chuck mode, bench is also worthless, Metta might be the worst basketball player I've ever seen this season, Steve Blake.. shudder...

As bad as Mike Brown has been. As bad as our bench has been. As immature as Bynum has been. Does anyone here not believe that if Kobe was playing team ball from the get go, this team would not be fighting for number 1 in the west right now.

Yes, but it goes beyond him just playing like crap. Can you answer me why Brown is tossing him out there 39 minutes per during this slump? This team has talent and Mike Brown is doing a horrible job of managing it. He was a mistake to ever bring on board.

Your absolutely right optms...He was the worst possible option we could have chosen as head coach imo but, weve also seen how successful weve managed to be against the top teams, excluding Okc, even with Kobe logging heavy minutes and Mike Brown as head coach.

From an emotional standpoint i blame everyone even all of you guys!
But when i put into perspective i blame time for not being forgiving enough to give us more to figure out our new coach, new players, new system, and team identity!

This.
To me:
1. Management (For hiring MB)
2. Mike Brown
3. Kobe
4. Bench
5. Bynum
6. Metta (Probably because I'm already not expecting anything from him)

it's what we need to do though haha. Bring Kobe off the bench. Let Pau, Bynum, Barnes, Glock and Sessions run it with the starting line up then have McBob, MWP, Bryant, Blake and Pau or Bynum run it second unit. Let MWP start in games w/ bron and what not.

More overrated than this Mike Brown concept?
"That's what guys like Kobe can do," Brown said. "When you have a special player like that, you put the ball in his hands and ask him to go make a play."

Kobe would play in china and avg 50 before he ever accepts coming off the bench for the lakers.
He cant even accept taking a few less shots a game and distributing the basketball to his All Star bigs. Shoot, If the guy took 3 less shots a game he would still lead the league in shot attempts.

Re: The Blame Game
Mike Brown started the season in panic mode and the only thing he cared about was winning games. Didnt matter how he did it or if his gameplan went to ****. Thats why he told Kobe when he came in, just do what you have to do, even if you have to shoot 30 times a game. Carry us if you have to.
Not knowing Kobe didnt have that in him anymore and thinking it was gonna be the only way. Now it looks like his plan back fired on that moron. He dug himself a hole he cant get out of.

Re: The Blame Game
Bryant has too much pride to come off the bench.
I'm putting this on Kobe & Mike Brown, mostly on Kobe though. If he'd just stop shooting as damn much we'd be in a much better position. Let's face it, LeBron made Mike Brown. Brown's schematics are only doable if there's a great playmaking talent on the roster. Since there aren't any on the Lakers but there's the great Kobe Bryant, he's expecting Kobe to make the right play and be an unselfish player. Kobe just clearly isn't and hasn't been that player. I'm not taking anything away from Brown and his defense, his defense mentality is fantastic. But there's clearly no set offense, and I think that's what we're seeing right now.
Even with all of that said, a future 1st ballot HOFer such as Kobe Bryant needs to recognize when he's being a detriment to his team and take necessary steps to fix it. Main one being his abhorrent shot selection.

Kobe recognizing he is at fault is a pipe dream. I can't possibly imagine being that stubborn and hard-headed.
That said, I really wish someone would ask him about his piss poor shooting percentage. I wonder if he realizes how badly he is shooting?
