Official Bynum is a Headcase talk - fined for "infractions"

Didn't see this posted anywhere yet so please feel free to merge or delete if it has been.

Another piece of the Andrew Bynum versus Mike Brown puzzle seems to have been revealed following the Lakers’ narrow win over the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday afternoon.

When asked about the huddle situation, Bynum readily admitted that team huddles don’t concern him very much.

“Kobe Bryant missed his first 15 shots, and so a reporter asked Bynum what Kobe was like in the huddle during timeouts?

“I don’t know,” Bynum said with his characteristic cavalier attitude. “I don’t take part in the huddles.”

Another reporter reacted with disbelief, asking why not.

“I’m resting,” Bynum said. “Getting my Zen on.”

Drew is coming off more and more immature with each statement. I don't possibly see how we can expect him to be the cornerstone of the franchise's future without a hard-nosed, no tolerance coach who he'll respect because clearly he doesn't give a damn about MB's coaching. If it weren't for our veterans on this team I could definitely see Drew leading a Pistons-like protest against the coach.

Saw them talking about this just now on ESPN while I was working out.

It's a real shame that Bynum is so immature. Whether MB is an idiot or not is irrelevant. He's got to be better than that.

Like I've said elsewhere, this team is a wreck and lacks leadership from the top down. We're not going anywhere with these types of attitudes. If he keeps it up then I hope we try to ship his ass out over the summer for a C that is willing to play defense every possession, understands his role, and provides at least some type of leadership. Perhaps we'll be able to pull a fast one on the Warriors and swap Andrew's.

I remember seeing that interview. He seemed a little irritated at the near loss and Kobe's chucking, but it was obvious he was being sarcastic. He was smiling and laughing in-between comments too. I wouldn't jump to conclusions and call this another example of Drew being immature.

Looks like Jim Buss will have to make a decision this summer, his prized draft choice or the coach of his choosing.

when i first read these comments yesterday i was a bit irritated, but then hearing people on espn radio talk about it that were there, they made it pretty clear he was being sarcastic and was mostly messing with the media.

I'm not the biggest Bynum fan, but I've seen the interview.

He was most obviously sarcastic, and effin' around. Now, it's just being blown out of proportion.

Even if he was being sarcastic keep an eye on his body language during timeouts, the guys has looked completely disinterested lately.

even if he is being sarcastic and immature at this point some ppl will not tolerate it. Hes not a kid no more which is why its being blow out of proportions. youre right his body language does tell the story, he looks irritated to keep answering questions about kobe (good or bad ones). I dont see no high fiving or side line cheer leading. maybe his head is getting too big.

Yeah Bynum has been acting up lately but, If we all think Mike Brown is an idiot, imagine what the players think of him. Its like the guy at the office who doesnt no what the hell he is talking about giving you orders. It has to be extremely hard to stay professional when you have a moron running the show.

Mike Brown is an idiot

He has learned very well from Mr. Phil Jackson. He's messing with the media just like Phil use to do.
