After suiting up for 138 consecutive games, Kobe Bryant will miss his second in a row tonight, as the Lakers travel to New Orleans. Bryant is nursing a sore and inflamed left shin: “Kobe Bryant (shin) will miss his 2nd straight game tonight at New Orleans. Not a surprise that Kobe will miss tonight’s game; if it hurt him enough to miss 1 game, wasn’t minor enough to return in 2 days. Bright side to Kobe missing this game is that he’ll now have (at least) 5 days rest to his legs that were 3rd in NBA in minutes.”

mods can merge this with the game thread once its made.

I say we rest him until like 2 games before the playoffs, so he won't be completely rusty (assuming he's not playing basketball while resting). kase klosed

Assuming NO will still be fully engaged in tank mode hopefully we can win this without Kobe.

Jarrett Jack's out, which means he won't light us up for 25 as per usual

I think it's a straw, he has another pic where he's holding a straw in his mouth like that.

Even still this just further proves why we he needs to leave, he's a straw chewer.

I get that Sessions is hurt a little bit, but 28 minutes in both of the past 2 games? Not a coincidence that both were losses.

Nope, everyone knows Brown only rewards terrible players with tons of minutes, just ask Steve!
