Sessions to opt out, wants to stay a Laker

Ramon Sessions is expected to opt out of the final year of his contract this summer and become an unrestricted free agent, which leaves him free to sign with whomever he wishes.

"It's crazy. My whole career, there's never been a point where I kind of had control," Sessions said. "Now I've got control."

Sessions hopes to re-sign with the Lakers.

"These fans really believe in me in this place and they really know basketball. They've seen the greatest of greats come through here," he said. "It's unreal. In my whole career, it's never been like this, being noticed. You're on ESPN every night or TNT. You're with Kobe Bryant out there in the backcourt.

"I want to be here. I don't know what that means or how that's going to happen. It ain't no secret. I'll tell anybody that. I tell [Lakers General Manager] Mitch Kupchak. I tell my agent. I want to be here. Period. For a long time."

Sessions likes us, he really likes us! I hope management shells out a few extra bucks to keep him around.

Sessions deserves that cash money. Mitch will resign him.

I highly doubt the Heat are going to sign him. He is a true PG that needs the rock, they already have Lebron for that. Plus the Heat have other holes to fill.

I'm more worried about the Heat stealing Odom for the cheap.

Why? I hope he accepts his next mission when he does. 8-)

Odom played in Miami before and I don't think he's done contributing if he gets back on track mentally. It's the only place he could go that could potentially backfire on us IMO. Possibly OKC, but he doesn't see like he'd fit there.

I think next year Lebron is gonna pay more of the post roll and if that's true they gonna need a pg cuz Chalmer's and Cole is to inconsistent. I can see Riley making a sales pitch. I hope not.

Miami

no taxes
weather
women

They can't pay more than the Lakes...4 yr 28 mil is still 7 mil per year
How much money the Heat can pay?The mini MLE?

Miami is a no go from the start,I'm not even concerned about them making a play for Ramon

I thought the same thing about Lebron and Bosh bro..I never count out Pat Riley. I'm just saying the Laker's should be concerned cuz Ramon is playing pretty well and he's going to get paid.

No one is signing and trading Sessions to the Heat and trading away their roster like they did for James/Bosh would only set them further back.

28 mil/4 years seems like a fair deal for him unless he turns into Rondo.

Anything around what the Lakers gave Odom sounds about right.

Weather in LA is 2000 times better than Miami. It's also a plus not having hurricanes every year.

Ramon isn't leaving to the Heat! First of all they can't offer him more money than us. If for some reason he does leave it would be to a team that over pays for him!
