Let's see what Kate Upton has to say about it:

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

We can survive in the regular season without Kobe and probably even contend for a top 4 seed, however we're 1st round fodder without Kobe in the post-season. Heck we might be even with him, depending on which team shows up.

will definitely motor boat though.

going back, the only "better" I see without Kobe is the ball movement that leads to more players getting involved in the offense. flip Ebanks to Kobe with the same style of play and daaaaamn. not a fan of Andrew handling double teams though.

As for the real thread because people on this site can never respond to anything about Kobe when he's questioned..

We've been playing better without Kobe, but in no way are we better than Kobe. If you've been watching the game you know that we've been passing around better and playing more "as a team" without Kobe being the guy to hold the ball in his hands 40% of the time. But we're gonna need Kobe to win anything. When he comes back, he needs to defer a bit to the team (and to his bigs) and be a part of the unit instead of the "God" who stands above everyone.. if he does that, we will be much better than we were this year with him, and than we are now without him.

I like to give credit to Kobe that we are playing better without him.

We are always better with Kobe, BUT.....It's actually a good thing to let the supporting cast step up right now while he sits. It's been great to see MWP step up, Barnes play better, and Bynum be an absolute stud. This can only help in the playoffs, but we are always better with Kobe. No doubt.

But seriously, NO Kobe, no championship plain and simple. Yes our team takes on more responsibility when he doesn't play, yes our team has better flow, more ball sharing etc..., but just having Kobe in the game gives Bynum and Gasol more space in the paint. Haven't you seen it become harder for Bynum to score in the paint these past couple of games?
