What financial room does LA have for the offseason? Do they have a full mid exception or mini? Not sure about how the system works.

the lakers as a tax paying team will only have access to the 3 mil "mini mid level".

the full 5mil mle is not available to them.

They still have the tpe from dallas though right? can it be combined with the mini mle for one player?

the 9mil TPE cannot be combined with anything else and cannot be used to sign free agents. the closest it can come to that is absorbing a player's contract via sign n trade.

Probably Mini-MLE (which McRoberts got this season), Odom's TPE, and minimum contracts.

It'll be interesting to see what happens since Sessions and Barnes will be free agents.

I forget about the LLE, which I think Shannon Brown got before.

Sign and trade for Beasley for a decent contract and Delonte West for the bench at the vet mini...

Beasley for Odom's TPE
Delonte West $1.18m
Yi Jianlian $.770
DeShawn Stevenson $2.5m

SF: Artest/Barnes/Ebanks
PF: Gasol/Beasley/McRoberts
C: Bynum/Hill

Why on earth would you want Stevenson...did you see his play with the Nets this year? He is done.

Stevenson is a defensive player and I remember him playing well against Bryant in the post season when he was with the Mavs

Maestro you have Jianlian listed as a pickup but not on your final roster. Also the Lakers aren't going to pay Hill 3m to be the third or fourth bigman off the bench and finally either Artest or Blake wil be amnestied right now its looking like Blake. And I think West is to much of weirdo to be with the Lakers it would be better to just keep Goudlock and Ebanks around for one more year and see what they can do.

you'd have to give Minn more then just a TPE for Beasley, they're already under the cap they could careless bout the TPE. Also why waste that money on Stevenson when you already have Barnes coming back? That sort of money is what Barnes should/deserves to get. West for vet min is fine by me, maybe even Wince Carter  , I think Dall gave him a buyout scenario for next season. I hope they find a way to drop Blake and just find another Dleague guy who can shoot or give Glock a chance, think West and Glock could work off the bench.

Could you guys imagine how the locker room and road trips would be that included MWP, Matt Barnes, Beasley, and Delonte West? Yi Jianlian would be very random too. His agent will probably try to get at least the LLE from another team.

West has a weird personality and all Lebron jokes aside he has never distracted a team internally. He's a good player that is going to come super cheap. He plays D too. Imagine him on the team right this 2nd in place of Steve Blake.

West is a SG he's not a PG he won't really replace Blake if he's amnestied.

Blake is as much a PG as West, Blake does NOTHING to make it easier for others to score. Outside of the occansional lob passes, what does Blake do to set up others that West couldnt' do? Doesn't take alot of skills to dribble up the court and drop off the pass to one of the bigs and stand around watch ala Blake and even than he's not all that great at it.

I wouldn't mind seeing Delonte West off the bench, just hope that if Mike Brown got those players in the future that he can handle all those personalities especially if the team struggles. We'll see what the Lakers do with Steve Blake this off-season.

Also turns out that weird personality is probably because he's bi-polar.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... of-season/

During training camp, the Mavericks were allowed to get West a hotel room, but once the season started, they had to stop because that’s considered an added benefit. West said he tried to rent but a lot of places wouldn’t take him because he has a criminal record (he was arrested near his Maryland home in 2009 for having a variety of weapons in his vehicle and some driving violations). West had a place to stay when the Mavs traveled, but when in Dallas he slept in the locker room or in his car, he told the paper.

Mark Cuban got wind of it and had people renting a place to West within a day.

How did West go through all that money? He underwent a divorce, and had to spend plenty on legal fees, and a lot of money got sucked out of his savings, he told the paper.

A lot of his problems — including the divorce and legal troubles — are tied to the bipolar disorder he battles.

He apparently got into a fight with Von Wafer.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/2 ... 76163.html

Boston Celtics guard Delonte West started a fight with teammate Von Wafer after practice on Friday, according to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld.

Kennedy tweeted that "punches were thrown and the players had to be separated."

According to the report, the incident began during a three-on-three game when West repeatedly fouled Wafer until he went to the locker room midway through the game. As Wafer walked away, West shouted and taunted him.

After Wafer showered, West "approached from behind and threw a punch." The two were said to have wrestled each other to the ground before they were separated.

that story would seem to suggest Wafer wasn't doing anything bad himself but lets not forget he tried to punch Sasha too when he was here.

I love the bench the most, Beasley, Barnes and West running the floor would be amazing. Barnes needs to take on more of a point forward role that way Blake can just stand around and wait to catch and shoot. Barnes is really good with the ball this type of role would do wonders for Beasley, West, Blake and Hill. As for me I like Stevenson because of his defense for last post season, but it seems that most of y'all know something I don't thanks for the info.

Do any of you agree with me?

Delonte West is a punk...and if he really did try to get with Le Bron's mom in Cleveland, he's a cancerous Freak!
