Kobe as 3rd scoring option?

If at all possible and Bryant becomes our third option making Bynum and Gasol number one and two ? Let's say that Bryant only takes 15 shots per game. Where would that put us as a t if on those 15 shots he posted numbers like 22ppg and 8apg. I know Bynum and Gasol would have a field day up front but could we win this way.

it doesnt make much sense. although he shouldnt be taking as many shots as he has this season. kobe should be around 18/19 (20 at max), gasol and bynum around 15/16. its perfectly fine that way.

kobes impact on the game comes from scoring. hes not gonna average 8 assists. thats not who he is.

Nooo way. Kobe should shoot less, but not shoot 15FG/g, that's way too little.

Shooting better shots all game can have him shooting 19/20 and making the same amount of shots. In his MVP year he shot 21 (which is 2 less than his current 23) and yet he made 10 shots a game, the same amount he's making this year.

I'm with doormatt, go down to the 20 range and give Bynum/Pau 15+ and we're good. Kobe should be the first option but I have no problem with Bynum being tied with him if the occasion calls for it. Pau is the 3rd option.

No....no...no

Don't let that little stretch we had without Kobe cloud your mind man, it's just not rational thinking.

inside shots > outside shots

therefore, defenses WILL ALWAYS prefer giving up outside shots to inside shots. thats why they won't allow our big men to ever play 1v1 in the post.

kobe will always take more shots because:
1- he's able to get the ball in his hands much easier than our big men
2. even when our big men get the ball, they try to force it out of our big men's hands

just suck it up, kobe will never be the 3rd option because he's always going to be needed

Most Teams get 70 to 75 shots...

Kobe 20 shots..
Bynum 16 shots...
Gasol14 shots...

Rest of Team 20 to 25 shots...
