RT @ESPNSteinLine ESPN sources say Blazers have strong interest in interviewing Lakers' Mitch Kupchak for GM job. Link in next tweet.

Why would Mitch Kupchak leave L.A. for Portland? To quote Tony Montana: Power and Money.

I hope Mitch does not bail on us but i understand he wants his payday and perhaps a change of scenery!

I'm sure the Lakers will let Portland talk to Mitch just because Jim Buss Is The Head Man In Charge anyway. It's a win for Portland, Mitch and Jim. Not sure if it benefits the Lakers Organization In the long run but all we can do is wait and see.

If they let Mitch talk to Portland, everything Jim Buss has been saying in his interviews is complete BS...

I personally don't think it is though, and I expect nothing to come of this...

Why would Mitch go to the Blazers! The Lakers future has more upside than the crappy Blazers!

Aldridge, Hickson, Batum, Matthews, top 10 pick in 2012 draft > Bynum

Once Kobe is gone, lakers can sign players who are better than Hickson, Batm and Mathews very easily. Blazers will most likely not find anyone as good as Bynum

Very easily? I think you're underestimating how hard is it to be an executive in the NBA.

I assume he's acting under the presumption that the Lakers can get anyone they want.
