UPDATE: MWP suspended 7 games

Edit: I hope James Harden is okay (was cleared to play, but will not return to the game after showing more signs of a concussion and will be re-evaluated). I think he might get at least the first round of the playoffs.

Yeah that was nasty, how many games did 'Drew get for the Dallas incident, 5 I believe? It might be similar to that.

With his history I believe 25 games. If Raffi Torre's in NHL gets suspended for 25 games for his huge hit on Hossa the 25 games sounds bout right.

Bynum's cheap shot for the Dallas incident happened during a play. Ron Artest's cheap shot happened during dead ball, after the play.

Ron Artest also went for Harden's head and neck, which is altogether a different level of cheap shot. It was flagrant, blatant, and shamelessly unnecessary. Bynum at least made some half-hearted attempt to make it look like a legit attempt to stop Barea.

Ron Artest also has a much worse history of violence than Bynum ever did. That definitely figures into a longer suspension.

My guess: Ron Artest will be suspended 7 games minimum. He might even be suspended indefinitely for the rest of the season, regardless of how many games the Lakers play.

just got in, crazy elbow. harden probably think twice about being such a trash talker in the future.

i think MWP is done for the season + playoffs.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Would have been more if Harden was seriously hurt. Plus it wasn't a fight or a conflict type of situation, just a really, really stupid thing by MWP.
