Hill a trade piece?

The Lakers have a 3m team option on him this summer the could keep him and use him to get some help off the bench. He obviously can play if given the and many teams need a productive C. He just makes to much to be Bynum's backup and the 2nd or 3rd PF on the Lakers.

Houston declined the team option when they had him, he's an UFA no matter what.

we'd have his rights...

14/15 hustle is good for a backup C

HIll is a good role player who was averaging 6 pts. and 5 boards for Hou. The Rocket announcers said that he frustrated the front office because he would would have a great game followed by 2 suspect games and the Rockets had decided that they would try someone else next year instead of resigning Hill. That is why he was dealt for Fish.
Brown has killed his value by not playing him, so Mitch has no idea what we have in him aside from what he sees in practice. If Brown would use HIll as he should, Gasol would have fresher legs in the 2nd half of games and we would know if HIll should be offered a contract. He will probably walk since Brown is clueless how to use a bench.
Hill can't be traded as a free agent. If HIll wants to sign cheap for a year, maybe the Lakers keep him.

Being a cancer in the players association is worse than being a team cancer!

Be nice to have him back just for the fact he is young. But he will leave as a free agent. The same will go for Sessions. Lakers want to resign him. But cutting money seems more important that getting more talent. So he will test the market and anyone looking for a young point guard can sign him. I see 7-8 mil a year. Lakers will not go near that much.

Right!!! He was guarding Ibaka then switched to gaurding Durant or Westbrook on the pick and rolls! He was doing a great job. I say we keep him! But he has to hustle EVERY game!

+1 Brown should've been giving him minutes sooner! I think the only reason he hasn't was to not ruin McBob's confidence...I hope to see Hill getting more minutes come playoff time. I don't know about eating Bynum's minutes though...Bynum clearly doesn't have much respect for Brown. Getting benched for a new player in what may have been the most important game of the year is not going to help.

Im just gonna assume you that you didnt hear Bynum's comments about how he felt about his benching for Hill. He owned up to his own poor play y'day and said Brown made the right move. Stop being a Skip Bayless. Bynum will be fine. If anything this makes the Lakers a better team.

The issue with Hill is he couldn't grasp the offense at PF therefore Brown gave him minutes at the 5... In my opinion, Artest will get Amenesited and the Lakers sign Sessions, Barnes & Ebanks on the offseason... Probably adda vet or two as well...

No I hadn't heard his comments, great to see Bynum's taking steps in the right direction as far as his maturity level. Stop being a Skip Bayless though? You're an idiot. Are these boards not for speculation, analysis and opinion? Bynum's immaturity has been a focal point of this entire season. Before hearing his comments is it really that absurd to think that a guy who has repeatedly shown immature behavior and a lack of respect for his coach would be pissed after being benched in the biggest game of the season thus far?

Of course it makes them a better team if Hill continues to play with the same energy, that's exactly why I said I wish Brown had given him more PT sooner...

If Bynum's going to play how he did yesterday then I don't see a problem in benching him. Didn't like the body language from him or Kobe.

The body language from Kobe? What game were you watching...Mike Brown said Kobe kept the players calm and was the obviously the catalyst for the run...

What game are we talking about? Yesterday's game, right? Then that's the game I was watching and am now currently talking about. I didn't say he wasn't a key factor in the run, his body language is incredibly unlikable though. So what you didn't get the foul, go hustle on defense instead of throwing your arms up and screaming wtf at the refs at every no call.

Kobe has been doing that for over a decade lol. When has Kobe's body language ever been a factor in his effort? I can see Bynum being picked out but Kobe? Kobe came to play and was instrumental in keeping the team calm in the comeback. I think you are reaching a bit too much in criticizing something he ALWAYS does.

And it wasn't just that, him slamming the ball on the ground was just poor. Which at the time I thought would've resulted in him getting a tech, luckily it didn't. I'm sure it hurt pretty bad when you got hit in the eye, you don't have to throw a temper tantrum.

I'm not going to give someone a pass just because it's what he does and I should just be used to it. Still doesn't make it right. And there's a clear double standard with what you said, it's not okay if Kobe does it consistently and gets questioned but it's perfectly fine if Bynum does it and gets picked out. I know he always does it, but it seemed even worse yesterday. Maybe it's because of all that that surfaced before. The elbow changed the entire aura of the game.
