Playoffs chatter! LAL VS Den

So we will be facing the nuggets on Sunday!!
Do you guys think that the Mavs can beat the Thunder?
Grizzlies also clinch home court over the Clips.
I think that the Nuggets will benefit us in the long run! Getting used to playing a team that likes to run the fast break. We can crush the Nuggets down the middle!
With this guy guarding the paint, we will be fine

I'm looking forward to this series.

Bynum 22/13/3
Gasol 18/11/3

We may lose game 3 because of playing in the mountains but games 4 and 5 will be ours. 5 games

The key to this series is to stay with our advantage......our size. The Nuggets will try to play fast and small most of the time. We must limit what Lawson does, this means keeping out the paint and taking away as many of his transition buckets as possible.

Rebounding is a must, they don't have Nene anymore so Bynum and Gasol should average 10-12 a game this series just walking on the court.

Kobe will have Affalo in his grill all series, Kobe can keep him off balance with timely passes to guys who need to make the bucket especially if it's a wide open look. If this happens it'll limit how Arron has to play Kobe.

I'm incline to agree Gasol and Bynum will be key in this series for us. I wan them to get 20-25rpg in this series I love McGee but I need my Laker to advance to the next round. We need to slow this game down and keep Lawson out of the paint. I also want Bynum to to get 3bpg too. I need Gasol to step up his game even more this post season. I want Bryant to to put out 6-8 dimes in this series alone. 22/8 from Bryant would be nice but…. 25/6 would do. I want Sessions to give 15/8 tho

He'll probably be the first big off the bench.

he can split his minutes with Troy.

Denver's game is in their running and slashing. Lakers can control the tempo with their size. limiting Denver's rebounding and keeping the opponent's energy guys away from the ring should do it.

less rebound = less fastbreak opportunities

guards and wing players should also stick to their man cause Denver's also a good outside shooting team and is streaky, especially Harrington and Afflalo. switch in all picks if necessary. I believe Gasol and Bynum are versatile enough to guard anyone in Denver's roster. my biggest concern is in their guard play. Sessions and Blake need to step it up against Lawson and Miller

Bynum/Gasol should dominate

The way he guarded the pick and roll against the thunder, he should get Mcbobs and Troys minutes!

Lakers just need to slow down the tempo and play through their bigs. If the Lakers can do that this shouldn't be that big of a challenge for the Lakers.

It's funny that everyone is saying... "Lakers should slow the pace down and play through their bigs." As if this wasn't obvious? It's been like this almost forever for this Lakers squad now...

Ahhh yeah just booked tickets for game 3! 140$ for 12th row! GG Denver....

This Nuggets team is pretty good, very deep. Brewer has been playing really well and McGee is contributing nicely. We handled them without Kobe though and if you look at their schedule lately.. Yeah they are hot but they have played soft no defense teams for the last month. The only good teams they've faced they've lost to except for this last one with OKC and that was barely without Harden. Karls chaos system just isn't suited for the playoffs and I think Browns defense is the best we've had in a while. We will be nicely rested going in to this as well so the athleticism and depth of Denver won't be an issue. We will miss Ron, as he gave Gallo fits, but we should be ok. I worry a little bit about Kobe going at Afflalo and Brewer, and Andre seems to always play well against us, but I think the crew will be ready. We should see the pace and D from earlier in the season with our better O from the end, which should crush most teams. Pau needs to be strong and steady, Fareid is a nice athlete and hustler, but he's too small for Pau. Drew should dominate their centers.

And if worse comes to worse, I think Fareid lives a few floors below me, I'll just seal the doors to that floor before game 4 or something

Jordan Hill won the 3rd big spot i the rotation... The key to the series is "tempo"... We need to play slow and methodical half court sets... We need to avoid running with the Nuggets... Our roation will be short...

PG: Sessions
SG: Kobe
SF: Ebanks
PF: Gasol
C: Bynum

Bench G/SG: Blake
Bench SG/SF: Barnes
Bench Pf/C: Hill

McRib will get some burn. He's a good matchup for Harrington at times. We need to take advantage of Harrington when he comes in the game though, Pau needs to attack him down low because he kills him outside. And if they bring in Al and Fareid stays in at C, he needs to be pounded, no way he can keep drew out of the paint.

McGee too. He's altheltic as hell, but he has no base or muscle. Hard to jump when you are on someones hip underneath the rim. Feed the Drew beast, for he will feast...

The problem is that once in a while Kobe doesn't get the memo!
