I think we should only try and get him if Sessions doesn't re-sign

Chances are I'd say pretty unlikely. No one knows if the Nets are even going to try and trade him, and if they did surely they'd want more value than Gasol. I'm sure they'd do it for Bynum, Gasol I'm not sure.

I'd honestly say the chances of a Howard trade are more likely than a Williams one, since Orlando has already made it known they're trading him no matter what if he doesn't commit to them past this season. And since he almost dealt to us this past trade deadline.

Everything depends on this playoff run though. If we go out in a disappointing fashion then there's no telling what'll happen.

I can imagine only a S&T for Bynum. But do the Lakers do that now, with arguably the best center in the league?

Possibly, if the Lakers burn out early and Bynum either doesn't do well or melts down somehow.

If Bynum has a monster playoffs, or gets hurt, then very little chance of the Lakers getting Jeremy Lin. I mean Deron Williams.

IMO deron Williams is overrated. Obviously he is a top point guard but he's not that great of a player. Doesn't have killer instinct of a Chris Paul.. Excellent pick and roll passer but not great of a playmaker.. He'd rather look for his own shot. If it costs Bynum heck no, gasol I guess. If we keep sessions, our bench depth is all we really need to address. If anything, trade for a potential wing to replace an aging Kobe in a few years

I don't want to give up Gasol at all and Bynum is off limits even for Howard. I'm fine with what we have right now all we have to do is go after Beasley and West in the offseason. We just need to upgrade our bench.

Sessions/Bryant/Artest/Gaol/Bynum
Blake/West/Barnes/Beasley/Hill
Goudelock/Ebanks/McRoberts

Looks good to me

If this team was a chick I would do her

If we let Bynum go as well and get rid of Gasol then yeah

People need to realize Kobe and Pau will eat up 47-48 million out of the cap-space....we can't afford another max...I'm not even talking about Bynum

As for the question of the OP,no,there is no chance

As for Sessions he clearly wants a long term deal and I say let's move onward from this Williams crap. We are also better off with Sessions in the future because he won't command the type of money Williams will.

i want to say there is 0% chance, but i guess i'll go wit 1% on the off chance that williams demands a trade to LA via sign n trade, and some sucker 3rd team wants to absorb pau (rockets?) and send pieces to the Nets to make it worth their while.

No we can't we just need to fill in the role players. Look at the Spurs, they don't need any upgrade all they did was add deph and they look real good.

We should try to trade Sessions to NJ for D-Wil. I like Sessions. I love the idea of D-Wil in purple and gold.

What did the Heat get for James? What did the Raps get for Bosh? If D-Wil wanted to come to LAL (after the Olympics and playing w/ Kobe) it could happen. 3% chance IMO

Two completely different situations. Miami had the cap space to sign James and Bosh outright, we have zero cap space and no other way of acquiring him other than through trade. And Miami didn't have to give up anything, like I said they could've been signed as unrestricted free agents. Only when Cleveland and Toronto saw they were about to get nothing did they reach out to Miami about a S&T.

And Sessions for Williams as a serious offer is hysterically funny.

Sessions will opt out. He wants a big contract. Will Lakers pay it. Maybe, manybe not. Williams, no way they even look that way. The Lakers want to cut money, not add money. That is why they gave away two #1 picks. Hill will be gone. Sessions will be gone. Not making money like they used to.

0.0000003% chance we get him

heat had capspace, therefore they weren't obliged to give cleveland squat, but they did anyway

if u can find a loophole that says we can sign deron outright for max money, go ahead and tell it to the lakers FO

Only loophole is Jim Buss. If he lets Sessions go without resigning him. He must step up and give him a deal that will make the fans forget what Luke Walton and Ron Artest got. MWP..naa he is back to ron ron....
