Andrew Bynum has played excellent basketball over the second half of the season and into the playoffs for the Lakers.
Kobe Bryant believes he and Bynum have built a stronger relationship since All-Star weekend.
“Nothing could materialize for us last year. I couldn’t be around my guys, couldn’t practice with them,” Bryant said. “And my personality could not rub off on the team. I could not give them what I’ve been giving them for the last two months.”

That whole Woj article is worth a read, I'm glad to hear this. The team picked a good time to click.

Can definitely see this on the floor lately. Actually, ever since that game against Boston when Kobe drew up the final play for Bynum.

That's great but lets see if Bynum is able to hold it together psychologically for the whole playoffs.

The media is overplaying things again. These two guys aren't any closer than they were before.

Jared Dudley won't put with the word gay being used. Not in his house, not anywhere.

Priceless shot with the team at the end, muttering "we're all in this together." I can just imagine all the other guys telling Kobe, "thanks a lot for roping us into your mess."
Well, maybe except for Pau.
And Ron.
And Odom.
Nevermind.

Close or not, the only thing that matters is Kobe looking to set up the post players more, and Bynum playing defense and rebounding every game.
I could care less if they hold hands in the locker room or poo in each other's shoe.
Just do your jobs, play as a team and win.
I remember reading earlier this season how much the Trail Blazers love each other and hang out together all the time. That didn't help their season at all.
Also, Kevin Durant and Russell are best buddies and they wear their backpacks together and hopscotch together. They still don't play well together.
I don't think Kobe and Bynum's date over ASW was the big factor for better team play as of late. I think it was Kobe's absence due to injury, which allowed his teammates to step up and gain confidence, and earn Kobe's trust.

I'd like to see Kobe and Bynum playing doodle jump while Durant and Westbrook are bricking shots.
