You really have a lot more faith in our criminal justice system than I, especially when it comes to reprimanding the illegal activities of police officers.

At most these guys will get put on paid leave of absence for a year or two, then put back on the force once the hype dies down. Happens all the time in cases like this, rarely is there any national media coverage and even rarer for their to be any discussion of the lack of justice on the severity of the police's punishment for their actions. Unfortunately the police in this country live by a different set of laws than us common folk.

the incident was 10 months ago, and the cops have been on paid leave. 2 of the officers are facing trial, and this video was shown at the pre-trial hearing today.

Dude I HATE police. Beyond some typical sense. Someone once broke the windows in my home and the police showed up 20 mins later, I was out getting food for us while my sis and little bro stayed at home. My parents were in El Salvador on vacation at the time. Then another time two guys kept breaking into houses in our neighborhood with my house being the second one. Again, the police came 20-30 mins later and nothing ever materialized. At least 10 other robberies occurred and the police did nothing, found no one so **** them. Law enforcement my ass, give me a gun and those son of a bitches who broke into my house would've never left alive. That's real law enforcement, a firearm and the mental training and self-restraint to wield such a weapon. A cop has been useless to me except for once, when I was a kid and actually sat in the front of a cop car as I thought it was cool.

they're worse than murderers. they murdered a helpless man with a mental disability, they dresses up and pretend to be the keepers of peace, they're also thieves that make a living by taking our money that we worked hard for.

Precisely why the Second Amendment was not put there for "hunting rights." It is there so that we can defend ourselves from criminals- whether they wear a government uniform or not.

i get yr animus towards police, but yr examples are weak...especially in a big metropolitan area...

cops are a high school football team with guns, a licensed, deputized legal gang...really nothing more...and its the culture of the "brotherhood of cops" imho that really makes them awful...they cannot resist the us vs. them mentality...meh, its always been the case with police, or whatver...

Pretty sickening. Thomas was unarmed and not on drugs or anything... I'm in disbelief that the officers couldn't believe how hard he was fighting them. Um, DUH! He's fighting for his life at that point as five overweight thug **** in police uniforms pin him to the ground and taze/club him.

Only 2 cops were charged? Hmm

They're weak to you cuz you don't know **** about what happened here in this two incidents so hard to take your first statement with even a grain of salt. Your next statement I DO agree with.

Also many people hate on cops all the time but the next time something happens... 911 hello I'm so scared someone broke into my house.

I think it's idiotic to hate all cops, but it's also stupid to think all cops are perfect. Cops are a position of authority and respect and not the only one either.. any time there is a position like that, there will be many corrupt people in that position to take advantage, it's human nature. Businessmen will be committing fraud whenever possible, priests will fondle kids, cops will beat up blacks... all these positions will think they are too big to be wrong or questioned and will stick to defending their peers.

Corrupt/racist cops will happen, but the worst **** part of all is that there's hardly ever any justice done, because the damn justice system is working to defend their image and the same damn cops. In an ideal world, obviously cops wouldn't be corrupt.. but in a better and more realistic world, when we find assh0le pig cops, we bring the full hammer of justice upon them and make an example out of them.
