Celtic fan trying to start our general forum game 7 thread!?
We really want that ugly green logo kicking off our game 7 thread? Need mod backup!
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1180722
Deep had us covered, lets get his stickied since it was posted first and is already 2 pages.

Does it matter who's thread gets stickied? That Celtics fan happens to be a moderator who saw the game 6 thread had reached 150+ pages, so he made a new one. The time lapse between when that thread and Deep's thread was created easily tells me that Deep's thread was buried on the second page at the time of it's creation. No one is disrespecting anyone.

Re: Celtic fan trying to start our general forum game 7 thre
Do we really want a game 7 thread with a big "beat LA" in celtic green as the first post's sig?
Sure it doesn't really matter in the same sense that nothing about a basketball forum really matters, but Deep's was first and we need all the superstitious help we can get tonight. Im sure the mod who started that thread just missed Deep's, but why should that mean we can't use the thread that was made first?

Re: Celtic fan trying to start our general forum game 7 thre
Honestly, I really don't care. It's not like we're facing them this round or at all this postseason. So they aren't the ones who beat us.
You acknowledged that the mod probably missed Deep's thread, so what is the problem? It's easier just to go ahead and used the stickied thread rather than him having to unsticky his thread and then merge it with Deep's, just to re-merge it at the top of the page all for the sake of having Deep's name as it's creator.

I made my thread well before Game 6 was even over. The protocol is when a thread reaches 100....start a new one. I did that even though guys were posting in the still active thread. All that had to be done was a mod stickie it. Yes it kept getting pushed off, but I kept posting little post to keep it on page 1.destro wrote:Does it matter who's thread gets stickied? Truth be told and I can say this here the Celtic mod was just acting like a prissy little beyatch.

I don't get why you dick ride'in that ass clown who posted the pick. All desertlakerfan tried to do was get a thread stickied that I made.....if he felt better with that karma I completely understand that.

It is lame though. He couldn't merge it? Just unsticky then merge, it's 5 mouse clicks and 30 seconds max.

bottom line is, it is a thread on the internet. no one died or was harmed from the threads not being merged. there have been plenty of game threads that have been overlooked throughout the regular season (one even happened to blunntashiz (sorry for name dropping bro, just had to make a point)), and deep's thread will not be the last. deep, it's not as if you bumped your thread at 10:00 am (i'm doing est) to the first page and then he made it an hour and 17 minutes later, your last post in that thread was this morning at 1:22 am. earlier, i counted roughly 30 threads between your thread and the thread uga hayes made. the only reason your's was ever back on the first page was because desertlakerfan bumped your thread 10 minutes after uga hayes made his, which one can only assume was meant to "make a point". now do you see how he could've missed it? if you're going to be upset at your thread not being stickied, you need to be upset at the entire gb moderating staff for not sticking your thread earlier, not pointing your frustration solely at uga hayes.
i'm not understanding the uproar over this situation. if it's because of superstition like desertlakerfan said, then we don't deserve to beat the nuggets if we're going to rely on superstition to guide us out of the 1st round over a team we were up 3-1 over. if it's a pride thing, then maybe you should pm uga hayes and take it up with him because there's nothing anyone on this board can do.
