This series is NOT over

Post#1 » by GoldenKnight » Sun May 20, 2012 7:28 pm

A big hello to all my Laker brothers, we are all in this together.
The Thunder lead the series heading to OKC up 3-1.
Yes, seems like an impossible task, BUT IT CAN BE DONE.

Hear me out, when we were playing the Nuggets we went up 3-1, the Nuggets came into the home-court of a superior team in our Lakers and won game 5, going back home, they played with so much confidence they blew us out knowing it would be their last home game of the series and possibly the season, once the series was taken to game 7, it really was a toss up and we came out on top.

What the Lakers have to do is basically what they have been doing, the tempo is at their pace, the game is theirs to take every single time, they just need to close out by going to their bigs. Has Kobe been realizing this? No, but with the series on the line he will have to defer to Bynum & I am sure he talked to Pau about attacking the rim and being aggressive after that poor possession he had in the end of the game. Metta will bring his (A) game I'm sure & Ramon has been attacking the rim with force now that Brown has enabled him too (hopefully he will let him finish the game too since he was creating way more than Blake in game 4) We also need a huge game from Bynum, which he did have but again, we need to feed him the ball more during the 3rd & 4th and keep pounding OKC down low.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that aside from game 1, all of these games could have gone our way, we need to go to OKC and deliver a knockout punch that will leave them wounded going back to LA, being down 0-3 has never been done, but being down 1-3 has, not all is done guys, our Lakers are still here and we can do this one game at a time

LET'S GO LAKERS!

The difference between us and Denver is a huge amount of heart imo. Denver never stopped playing hard, while some players on this team need things to be going good before giving max effort.

Also, the flip side of your last paragraph is that those games COULD have gone our way and didn't. That's on the team though, it's not pure luck. We didn't win those games because we couldn't close them at the end. So yes while it could be seen as a good thing that we SHOULD be up 3-1, it can also be disheartening in that we tried our best and still lost.

Someone ask Bynum what does close out games feel like.

It's plausible the Lakers can win 2 in a row. Sort of how nuggets came back from 3-1. But yeah...........I hope the Spurs sweep those SOBs. I HATE Westbrook, he really rubs me the wrong way.

OKC plays team-oriented basketball. Win or lose, they stick together.
LAL plays Kobe-basketball. Kobe blames teammates for loss.

Series is over.

I'm with you Golden Knight, the series isn't over. I won't give up until the fat lady has sung. This team plays very well with their backs against the wall. I still believe.

Her fat pipes are warmed up. Let me tell you guys why this series is over. OKC is the type of team that usually goes on what I call some type of dog vomit. What that means is they have games where nobody misses & everything goes right for them and they do that pretty often. They SIS it in game 1 of this series.

Now with that said, we've out played them & kept them off of the dog vomit for the last 3 games & we lost 2 of the 3. The only one that went on dog vomit mode in any of those 3 games was Westbrook last night.

Even if we push a game 6 these guys are due for another team dog vomit game & we'll get routed. I expect dog vomit in game 5 on their court.
