Yeah. What I said!

Nash/Gortat sounds pretty good. Whip Odom into shape and call it a day.

I say do it in a heartbeat. Bynum lacks the quickness Dwight has, Dwight is a phenomenal pick and roll defender (What we've been having problems with for the past 2 years) and Dwight has the rarely missed games and ALWAYS plays 100%.

Bynum is a project and it failed miserably. The dude has to be the 1st banana on a team in order to fully grow to his potential and I say we give him that favor and trade him. He will like having his own team in Orlando and it's closer to New Jersey where he was born. I'm sure Bynum won't have a hard time resigning with the Magic.

Maturity issues are the only downfall he'll have in his career. Other than that, he'll be a NBA player for a very long time.

Dock, we barely used Bynum in the 2 champs. Pau was mostly playing center those both times we won. I say it was a major failure for his confidence and his development. I think that's why he has the maturity issues because we barely used him and we won without him.

When focused, Bynum's a walking double double and his current value is that of a Howard or Williams. I don't consider that a failure in the least bit.

Yeah, neither Nash or Gortat is realistic.

Bynum may not have met our expectations, but I wouldn't say that he failed miserably. I would only reserve that for players that can't even play like Morrison.

I don't know if Orlando will even bother with Bynum now. They're both known headcases, can bolt after next year, and have injury concerns that can scare away any suitors. You also need to take into account that Dwight is a better player. If you can get one year left from player A or one year from player B where player A is superior, which would you go for?

I'd take a chance on Howard for Bynum. Howard is just more dependable than Bynum physically and mentally. The only bad this is that they both have a little Diva in them.

Magic and Dwight are both disinterested in this move, so it won't happen.

Welp, Magic insider AnaheimRoyale says Orlando and Dwight are disinterested in the move and that it won't happen. Although Orlando was close to trading Dwight to LA at the deadline had he not waived his option.

Oh well, time to close the thread.

Orlando threatened to do it... when they thought they were losing Dwight for nothing... but LA wouldn't have agreed, because they'd be trading Bynum for a disgruntled rental who was leaving in the offseason. Circumstances have changed, and the trade still doesn't make sense.

How do you know LA wouldn't have done it? Obviously they would've or at least given it serious consideration since they're thinking about getting involved in Howard talks again. I don't think Dwight leaves if he's traded here. Let's see, Dwight is still holding the Magic hostage by not committing to them long term, sounds to me like the circumstances haven't changed at all. It's only been prolonged by a year since he waived his right to become a free agent. The #2 center in basketball doesn't make sense to a team who's looking to trade the #1 center, and who's team is practically built around the center position?

Is there anything else you'd like to come up with?

If Howard wanted to be a Laker I would do the trade.. But he doesn't. So why should this even be a discussion?
