Iggy on the block(Laker/Warriors possibilty)

According to ESPN's Chris Broussard, the Philadelphia 76er's are looking to move their swingman Andre Iguodala.
As for who may land Iguodala, Broussard suggests that the Warriors and Lakers are possible trade partners. The Warriors make a lot of sense, as defensive minded coach Mark Jackson would get himself another defensive stopper to help him with his transition to a defense oriented team. The Lakers also could be a good fit, as it would give Kobe the opportunity to play alongside a good all-around player who doesn't need shots to be effective. The final team Broussard mentions is the Grizzlies, whom he believes could give up forward Rudy Gay to land Iguodala. This trade doesn't make sense to me for either team. I think Rudy Gay is a better player, so replacing him with Iguodala seems simply like a downgrade; and for the Sixers, they'd be getting another small forward who will take away minutes from their younger players.

Defensive minded coach.. Mark Jackson..

Just a Pau for Iggy and resigning Odom would make us miles better on PnR defense and transition scoring though.

I don't see a way we can get a deal done with Philly. They have no interest in Pau and Bynum would be overpaying.

Does anyone think the addition of iggy for gasol makes us better than the Spurs, OKC or the up and coming Clippers?

nope, developing our young guys and signing a bench scorer or two will

Yes, but only if Mike Brown is not afraid to go Phil Jackson and start Iguodala in the backcourt with Kobe and bring Goudelock and another backcourt shooter off the bench (D.West).
If W.Peace is still here, you've got to start all three guys out there and let Iguodala do his Scottie Pippen. They would already be better defensively by leaps and bounds.
Micro knows, I had this thing going down two years ago when everyone was still in love with Gasol after the ring:

two yrs ago that trade was completely and utterly terrible. lakers went on to win a 2nd straight title after that,
the fact that brand is now expiring, iggy is still in his prime, and pau has regressed and is now in his 30's (was 29 at the time), and the lakers STILL can get that trade speaks to how terrible it was 2 yrs ago.

Iggy+filler/s to GS probably for Wright and Curry?
if it's a 3 team deal I'd probably be interested with David Lee+a SF (McGuire/Wright) or PG (Jenkins-doubt it/Robinson/Curry-unless FO is willing to gamble)

I like Iggy, but I really don't see how he makes this team better.

Can we just make Iggy a PG at the end of games and run out monster lineups against guys like Westbrook?
Also the great thing about Iggy is that you can put a defensive player, 3 point shooter out there at PG if this guy is playing your Pippen. **** it let's go back to the triangle with Iggy and Bynum you'd have the pieces.

Funny how I said the team is full of scoring options two years ago, and now this team looks like it has no horsepower outside the Big 3.

The thing I like about Igoudala is that with total crap as his shot-blocking he's been the best perimeter defender in the game. Imagine with Howard inside. That defense would eat people alive.

Until the Sixers show any interest in Gasol I would stay still. They are almost done with an albatross contract at the PF spot I doubt they would want to extend that for another year.
