I know I'm a Laker fan but I have to say that I would rather the Celtics win a title than see Lebron , the "heir to Jordan" win anything ..... Just having to hear Sportscenter start pulling up stats and comparing it to Jordan's career would drive me insane .......

I don't know .... for some reason I just don't want these youngsters to win any titles yet ..... I find myself rooting for the SPurs, Celtics and Lakers; hoping someone can represent real basketball and not this "Iso and run head first to the rim and get bail out calls from the ref" basketball .

As a Lakers fan any team winning the Finals besides maybe the Thunder is a lose lose situation. We obviously don't want the Celtics to win. The Spurs winning means Duncan ties Kobe in rings and I don't think anyone wants the Heat to win. I think the Thunder also have potential to be a dynasty like team and I really wouldn't like to see that especially in the Western Conference where the Lakers play.

If the Lakers couldn't beat the Thunder nobody else should too.

You honestly don't know why you don't want the Heat to win? Maybe it's because they celebrated like they won a title before their first season together even started, or maybe it has to do with LeBron predicting he and his friends would run through the league for 7+ titles, or maybe it has to do with LeBron saying by the way the Heat would practice, it'd be "easy" going against the competition. Or maybe it's because ESPN blessed Miami with it's very own ticker at the bottom of the screen and anointed them champion the past two seasons. Or maybe, just maybe it has to do with Wade lying. Talking about how that Heat rally was strictly for the fans when the Heat suffered an embarrassing loss to the Mavericks in the Finals. Although ESPN camera crews were there capturing it all and broadcasting it on ESPNEWS.

Celtics= Long-time rival, nuff said
Spurs= Duncan tying Kobe in ring count
Thunder= Fisher winning 6th (which is ok to me but ppl gna go wild using this against kobe/lakers LOL), also like mentioned, could be a start of a dynasty.

No, I think every fan of the NBA including most players don't want Miami to win. I pray they eliminate the Heat then lose to either the Spurs or Thunder. I'm mixed on those two because I don't want Okc to win because they are too young and I don't wanna see that changing of the guard, but I also don't want Duncan with the same amount of rings as Kobe. I guess I'd rather see the old school win than the likes of that crybaby smartass Westbrook though.

I don't understand the reasoning behind the Thunder explanations. You all don't think the Thunder know how good they are? Even if they don't win a championship, they'll still be a force for the next 10 years. There's no getting around it.

I absolutley despite the HEAT and everything they stand for. And as for Lebron, well him I despise the most, and people have the audacity to question why. Well, here is why; hatting lebron nothing to do with his "game", it has to do with his actions, antics and severe disrespect he has had for the league and what it stands for. To enter the NBA as the self proclaimed "King" and "chosen one" and destroying a franchise in the most childish and thoughtless manner is the catalyst for the hatred. The Kobe comparison is more secondary as fans, including Jordan himself, as fans don't feel like the has earned the reputation he so adamantly and foolishly bestowed upon himself.

lebron and Wade have turned in the Heat into a WWF show. With all these pre-game karate acts/boxing acts wade and lebron do, the Lebron two handed pounder throw as if he is a GOD of some sort, the constant looking into cameras and making these "look at me know" faces after every shot and most importantly the cowardly thought of not earning a championship. They tried to cheat what we fans love and that's what it takes to win a ring: the blood, sweat, tears and true ups and downs. They tried to cheat the system by blatantly attempting to make a Dream Team and then shoved it down our throats with the "Not 1, Not 2, Not 3.....". Miami and wade especially is getting what they deserve. Wade went from being the Mayor of South Beach to being 1 single game away from being shipped out, and giving Lebron (The vary guy who he recruit it) the keys to the city.

playoffs ended for me when lakers lost.
butttt if i had to choose one team, i'd want the spurs. only because it might light a fire in our old guns seeing them win one.

How the **** can you be ok with the Celtics winning the title as a Lakers fan?

I just wish one of the Western teams win the championship. I hope the Celtics eliminate Miami and get waxed in the Finals.

I actually have some respect for this current Boston team. They are old but they play with heart and effort every game. Have to respect that. I'm rooting for them to win against Heat but in the finals I hope they get swept against Spurs or Thunder.
