The Lakers team for next season 2013

Post#1 » by SlimShady83 » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:01 am

The Lakers team I’d like to see next season…

I don’t think this would be humanly possible but thought I’d share what I feel should be the Lakers team next season.

Pick up …
Marcus Camby, Josh Smith, Deron Williams, Jose coldren

(spelling could be wrong?) and pretty sure they are all unrestricted free agents, but "not" %100 positive

Trade … P. Gasol & S.Blake/draft pick = P.Gasol on a rockets team as the main scorer? would be a 20/10 guy in no time.
For Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry from houston

I like Gasol but he seems to be too weak for a 7 footer and since we have bynum we really don't need two 7footers, especially along with mike browns strategy. As for S.Blake all he does is shoot 3's and stand on the three point line doesn't even seem to defend well at all, "3pointers don't win games" and besides he's too inconsistent

Lakers team would be…

C: A. Bynum = 2nd go to man --- Lakers have signed Bynum so I don't think they'll be trading him any time soon
PF: Luis Scola = defender and scorer
SF: Meta World Peace = Defender
SG: K. Bryant = Go to man
PG: Deron Williams 3rd go to man

Bench:
C: Marcus Camby = Great defender off the bench
PF: Jordan Hill = has great potential
SF: J.R Smith = would be better coming off the bench as a scorer
SG: Jose coldren = 3 point shooter and could give kobe rest time
PG: Kyle Lowry = great at the point guard

Extra: These 3 extra also have great potential but just don't get enough playing time.
Matt Barns
Troy Murphy
A. Goudelock

It's a dream i'd like to see possible.
My Go Team
Magic, Jordan, Pippen, Duncan, Shaq

My Counter
Stockton, Kobe, Bird, Rodman, Dirk

Today's Team
Luka, SGA, Tatum, Giannis, Wemby

Good try Skullz - But i think you might want to familiarize yourself with the way the CBA works.
To put it simple the Lakers can only sign a player making min $$, they can sign 1 player making about $3 million per year and they do have a trade exception that could bring in a player making up to $9 million.

They cant go out and just sign any player they want.

Our PG rotation just went to Deron & Lowry. Sweet, why don't we sign Dwight Howard too?

To be honest, i would love Lebron James. I would take him over Kobe and Bynum in a heartbeat. And this is not only because of him winning the championship. I've been a proponent of his athleticism but not his character...until it changed this year. Now I love the guy all the way around.

I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated Los Angeles LAKERS as NBA Champions in near future. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

lakers first option should be to ship bynum+sessions and bring back deron+lopez. then they should go after a sf/pf combo, hopefully bring back lamar odom, but beasley would be a nice addition as well.

if they can get this done in the offseason, we should have a great team.

if we care about winning with kobe we keep our core and go after players who can consistently score off the bench and/or hit open shots, next year we will be dominant defensively and if we keep our core we will have more chemistry with our coach and we have a higher chance of winning than if we broke up the team

Do you guys ever actually read the actual original post?

I did say that "Lakers have signed Bynum" so they won't be trading him any time soon and I'd rather much have him over Dwight, even though I do like Dwight as well...

As for Gasol like I said I like him too "but I find him too weak for a center" I hope he proves me wrong but I got a feeling he'll be getting traded for perhaps a true Power forward.

i would love the lakers to some how get either Josh Smith or Carmelo as a 2nd scorer though, is all we really need and perhaps a consisten 3point shooter.

What the lakers need are olive oil chips. They are very good, and I think they are healthy. Somebody needs to get on this, it will greatly improve team moral and condition. Its gotta be worth at least 3-5 wins.

Wow skullz.... you lost all credibility here. You want carmelo as a 2nd scorer? You know how hard it was for Knicks to get him?

I'd like to see a 3-way with Chi and Phi.

LAL OUT: Bynum, Morris
LAL IN: Noah, Iguodala

CHI OUT: Deng, Noah
CHI IN: Bynum

PHI OUT: Iguodala

Also, send MWP and Troy Murphy to MIL for Drew Gooden.

Sign Roy
Resign Sessions, Hill, Barnes

Lineup:
Sessions/Blake
Kobe/Roy/Goudlock
Iguodala/Barnes/Ebanks
Gasol/Hill/McRoberts
Noah/Gooden

4th quarter lineup:
Roy
Kobe
Iguodala
Gasol
Noah
