Memphis is offering Zach Randolph for Pau Gasol, according to the New York Post

don't think the lakers consider it. randolph isn't a better defensive fit, and makes slightly less than pau but for one yr longer.

Well considering Peter Vescey is the only one saying it, there's more than a good chance it's not even true.

Gasol for Randolph does not make sense on any front for the Lakers.

In fact, even the Josh Smith deal doesn't make sense unless it's $$$ motivated. However, to re-sign Smith, you would think the Lakers would have to approach Gasol dollars anyway...

If Smith is acquired, the Lakers really need to go up tempo to make it work.

No thank you. It seems like he gets injured often, plus it would make the Grizzlies way too hard to get through in the playoffs.

haha Zach is a lot worse than Gasol.

Zbo would be a better fit next to Bynum in my eyes. It would make our offense better and i think we would be more mobile on the defensive end too.

i thought the whole point of trading Pau was to get a player who's more athletic and younger.

Randolph plays below the rim, is anything but athletic and turns 31 in a month.
