2012 NBA Draft Thread
Since there maybe a chance we actually end up with a pick other than #60 I figured making one of these would be alright. Whether some like it or not, it's a pretty good chance that these are Pau's final hours being listed as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, so I guess you could post vids or whatever of your favorite Gasol plays. Or llama faces.
I'll update this thread as picks are being made throughout the night.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Thread
i'm not sure either makes us a better team, but Mitch would have to give up Pau for a top 5 pick. i would, however, be very surprised if we got that offer .

Trades that have been mentioned for Gasol:

While I agree they aren't done with Gasol, Houston would need to add about 10 mil in salary filler, and the only two players who fit that are Martin and Scola. Lowry + either Martin or Scola + filler is about as good as we'll get from Houston at this point, I highly doubt they give us early/mid first rounders as well unfortunately. One of their beat writers wrote yesterday that if a deal for Gasol happens it would be for less than their offer last year(dragic + martin + scola + filler) since Pau's value has dropped.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Thread
Great post Destro... I agree that once Howard goes away Houston will come back... I would nvision a Gasol for Lowrly, #18 & Martin (one year left at $12 million)... Lakers use the #18th pick on Marques Teague or Quincy Miller (preferred)... Lakers than sign and trade Hill for Beasley... Lakers lineup is as follows:
PG: Lowlry (6'4")
SG: Kobe (6'6")
SF: Ebanks (6'8")
PF: Beasley (6'9")
C: Bynum (7'0")
Rotation: Martin, Blake, Miller & McRoberts... Possible LO & a couple other vets added later...

Best Case: Pau for MKG and Blatche (That's the salary they want to dump)
Plus a trade to get us into the mid to late 1st round to draft Teague.
Worst Case: Pau for Josh Smith and one of Teague/Pachulia (for salary reasons)

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Thread
Anybody else think that if we did end up with a draft pick, we might just turn around and package it with Bynum for Dwight?
Maybe not if we got into the top 5 but a later pick?
It's been so long since we had a high pick, I'm having a hard time getting my head around us actually using it and making a splash in the draft.
