Lakers Re-Sign Morris To Qualifying Offer (update pg. 3)

Lakers To Extend Qualifying Offer To Darius Morris
June 28 at 5:28pm CST By Luke Adams
The Lakers will extend a qualifying offer to Darius Morris, making him a restricted free agent, tweets Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times.
While Bresnahan pegs the value of the offer at around $940K, I believe it will be closer to $962K. Either way, Morris will have the option to accept the one-year qualifying offer or to sign a new deal as a free agent. The Lakers will have the chance to match any contract Morris signs with another club.

I like Morris, would like to see him get signed to a 2-year cheap contract.

I agree, if no move is made to bring in another PG, he should have the opportunity to take that backup PG spot from Blake. As long as he plays within himself, he should be fine

i think glock would be a better back up pg than morris. but only because laker pgs are basically used as short corner 3/ spot up shooters. so he fits the mold of a "lakers" pg but not so much of a traditional one, seeing as his ball handling / pessing game arent his strongest suit

No Deep is right. He's a very talented young kid. I think he'll be much better this time around
