The official actual approved transaction thread

Post#1 » by snaquille oatmeal » Sat Jun 30, 2012 11:03 pm

I know there are some of us who get their BB news from here, but don't have time to sift through all the rumor and trade ideas threads. so post here any trade of interest that has actually happened. no rumors or ideas and certainly no imaginary line ups please! just NBA approved trades.

btw not meant to be the only place where you can post about actual trade. you can still open a new thread announcing the trade this one is just a quick reference of all the trades that have gone down and will go down.

The Los Angeles Clippers acquired Lamar Odom from the Dallas Mavericks as part of a four-team trade also involving the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets.

The Clippers sent point guard Mo Williams to the Jazz and the draft rights to Furkan Aldemir, the Clippers’ second round selection (53rd overall) in the 2012 NBA Draft to Houston while the Jazz conveyed the draft rights of Tadija Dragicevic, Utah’s second round pick (53rd overall) in the 2008 NBA Draft to Dallas.

To complete the trade, Dallas sent the draft rights of Shan Foster, the Mavericks’ second round selection (51st overall) in the 2008 NBA Draft to the Jazz with Houston sending cash considerations to Dallas.

Good idea. I would add one additional req tho:
Source every transaction.

While not a trade, this signing is particularly relevant. (It effectively removes Houston from the D12 sweepstakes for 3 months.)
The Houston Rockets have reached a verbal agreement with Chicago Bulls restricted free agent Omer Asik on a three-year deal worth $25.1 million, according to sources close to the talks.

Asik can't formally sign the deal until July 11, which is the first day new players can sign NBA contracts for the 2012-13 season.

The Bulls will then have three days to decide whether to match the offer or let Asik go.

Bulls general manager Gar Forman has made it clear that one of his top priorities was to re-sign Asik, but the structure of the deal could hurt Chicago's ability to keep him. The Bulls are close to the luxury tax and are wary of wading too deep into that territory.

Nets, Hawks Agree To Terms Of Joe Johnson Deal
July 2 at 4:18pm CST By Chuck Myron

The Nets and Hawks have agreed to terms on a trade that would send Joe Johnson to Brooklyn, tweets Chris Broussard of ESPN.com, who says the deal is contingent on Deron Williams agreeing to return to the Nets. However, David Aldridge of TNT says the Nets would agree to the deal regardless of Williams' status (Twitter link). Broussard adds that the deal would put the Nets out of the running of Dwight Howard, as it wouldn't leave enough cap room.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports tweets that the deal would send Jordan Williams, Johan Petro, Jordan Farmar, and Anthony Morrow to Atlanta, along with DeShawn Stevenson in a sign-and-trade, with Johnson heading to Brooklyn. David Aldridge of TNT adds that the Hawks would also get a 2013 protected first-round pick the Nets acquired from the Rockets (Twitter link).

While this may take the Nets out of the equation for D12, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel notes that it would put Josh Smith and Morrow, two of Howard's best friends, on the same team. As for Williams, the Nets are meeting with him right now, Broussard tweets, and informing him of the trade. Stefan Bondy says the deal would put the Nets in a better position to win now and in the future than the Mavericks, a point the Nets are surely stressing in the meeting.

The Phoenix Suns have reached a verbal commitment with free-agent forward Michael Beasley on a three-year deal worth $18 million, according to sources familiar with the deal.

Beasley
Beasley can't actually sign until July 11, when a leaguewide moratorium on new business is lifted.

Beasley chose the Suns from a group of five suitors after visiting with club officials on Wednesday, while Phoenix also was agreeing to send Steve Nash to the Los Angeles Lakers in a sign-and-trade deal.

Beasley flew to Phoenix to meet with the Suns on Wednesday, the second time the two parties met. The Suns flew to Los Angeles to meet Beasley earlier this week.

While Beasley has been dogged by bouts of immaturity throughout his four-year career, the Suns are not scared off by his reputation and instead are fond of him as a player and a person, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

really. I drop by to see trade and most are signings. kinda misleading. :P

I'm with Gek with this one.

just so I won't be OT:

The Grizzlies have agreed to a two-year deal with a third-year option with Darrell Arthur.

Arthur's deal is believe to be worth between $9 million and $10 million in total.

Nice pick up for Philly, I would've loved Wright here and it seems the Warriors let him go for nothing.

Marcus Thompson II/San Jose Mercury News wrote:The Warriors have traded Dorell Wright to the 76ers for the draft rights to an international player.

Golden State has long sought a trade of Wright.

The deal frees up $4 million in cap space and now have approximately $8 million in room before reaching the luxury tax.

Golden State can now use their mid-level and bi-annual exceptions.

Great pickup by Dallas, a young promising PG for Dallas for practically nothing plus a wing defender for the playoffs, I remember him from his Denver days.
