Harris to Atl, Marvin to Utah

Post#1 » by dukeknicksirish » Mon Jul 2, 2012 11:45 pm

Could Atl be preparing to offer :
Harris + Smith + Zaza for Pau and Ebanks?

This makes sense, then LA could do:

Dwight + Turk for Bynum + McRoberts + Blake

5.Dwight/Zaza
4.Smith
3.Metta/Turk
2.Kobe
1.Harris

Does Atlanta want Pau anymore? Seems like they are in rebuilding mode. Plus, I would do Bynum for Howard straight up, I don't think Magic are in the position to demand that we take on Turk's contract.

Trade Gasol to Minnesota and have the Hawks receive a package around Derrick Williams and have Smith and Pachulia coming to us. Then trade the TPE to Atlanta in a seperate trade for Harris. I wouldn't take on Turkoglu's contract and I don't think Orlando has any leverage to do that now that Howard has demanded a trade. If we can get Howard,Smith, Harris and Pachulia ,who all have expiring contracts, we could have a lot of cap space next season to sign a top free agent(Chris Paul?) and we would be able to re-sign Howard and Smith.

^ THISSSSS!!

If we can trade, gasol, blake, our 55th pick, resigned hill (s&T).... for josh smith, zaza, and devin (all expiring). That would be freaking awesome!!!!

If dwight tries to screw us in the off season, that would just mean more space for us to go after legitmate talent. We can also try to gain a high pick or 2, by helping dwight go to a different team, of his choice, if he really doesnt want to stay here.

This would give us a lot of freedom to take the ball in our court.

who was Teague's back up last season again?

so Harris will be the back up PG or are the Hawks setting up a Smith-Harris (knowing LA is in desperate need of a PG/back up and I doubt they are willing to give away Teague) for Pau? I somehow like it.

they sent their starting SF so they may want Ebanks or Eyenga in return. probably Ebanks.

Hawks just made big trade with Nets. One trade can always start another trade. So we shall see what happens over the next week or so.

steve blake can be there back up pg....

I hope they are still very intresed in gasol tho. It looks like they are in salary dump mode for this coming offseason. But if they are still very intrested, i would see if they would take on as much salar as possible. Gasol+MWP+blake for zaza, jos smith, and d.harris. :)

but the above trade ai proposed would be much more realistic.

No way is this trade intended as a stepping stone to Pau, it's a stepping stone to Dwight Howard. If they wanted to trade with L.A. using Devin Harris, I think it would have been a three team deal. This way they can package Teague with Horford for Howard and still have a starting PG and the oh-so-talked-about Howard's Best Friend Factor to re-sign him. Obviously I hope I'm wrong....
