Houston has decided to use the amnesty provision on Luis Scola and will likely file with NBA on Friday, league sources tell Y! Sports.

This really is a HUGE gamble by Morey and Houston. Theyre gutting their team in hopes of bringing and keeping dwight in Houston. But at the same time, Dallas is clearing out salary for the 2013 season in hopes of signing Dwight straight up. So by next season, Dwight could have the choice of staying in HOU and have the rebuliding process start with him, or perhaps go to Dallas and team up with Dirk for one last championship run before he retires.

i cant see dwight signing an extension there. inmo, this is terrible for the rockets. they could have traded scola for lots of value.

maybe Morey knows something the rest of us don't? :dontknow:
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

probably... lets just say if mitch ran the rockets.. this wouldnt have happened. dwight is too indecisive for this risky business. but who knows, maybe they will score with dwight.

according to Woj who was on WFAN, Houston no longer needs LA to do a deal for Dwight. Before, they needed a third team to at least absorb hedo or jrich, now they have space to absorb both contracts.

that houston team is going to be a mess if Dwight leaves them as everyone expects them to.
