Lakers Targeting Jamison, Brand, O'Neal

Post#1 » by madtrap347 » Fri Jul 13, 2012 2:37 am

As you can see from real gm's new headliner.

Which ones would you rather have for the lakers for the vet minimum.

If we are able to land both jamison and brand-- I will confidently say the Lakers are major favorites to win the championship bc of the depth we will have.

I hope these two want multiple rings rather than money... I don't blame them if they want the latter tho.

I don't see us getting Brand. He's on the amnesty wire so a team can easily bid more than a couple mil and get him.

I like Jamison, lets get him

Brands not happening. Id take either of the other 2 over the likes of the scrubs we filled our roster up with last year, but neither is gonna change where we finish

Hopefully Brand if no team takes him off waivers. Jamison would be a great boost off the bench. O'Neal is done at this point.

O'neil is done, we won't be able to bid high enough for brand imo & honestly I haven't seen jamison enough recently to know if he has any game left. I know I use to like his game

I'd take Jamison, Grant Hill, and Jordan Hill. I'd love if Elton Brand comes back to LA and plays for the real LA team.

Because of costant injuries, O'Neal is best used as a fifth, maybe fourth, bigman on your team.

I can only see O'Neal signed as a non-rotational big who fills in for injured players and rests for the long haul.

Antwan Jamison would be leaving money on the table to come to LA.

Originally, I thought he would come, but I think otherwise now ... he'll take his money and play for the team that gives him the biggest role ... dude averaged 17 points a game last year and I really don't think the Lakers are spending that MMLE unless it's split, but I don't know if you can even do that.

Out of the 3, I hope we get Brand, even though it seens like a longshot. LA should'nt even consider ONeal.. dude is old and pretty much finished. Jamison is one of the worst defenders in the NBA and too much of a liablity on that end, but is great on the offensive end.

LA needs to sign J Hill + G Hill (Maybe even K-Mart). Players who come off the bench who can rebound + provide good D on the perimeter & in the paint.

order of preference: Brand / J. Hill / G. Hill / Jamison / Kmart / ONeal

Just get Hill back. He is better than all those guys (except Brand).
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
