Carl Landry is out there. I know we can not afford him. He would be a nice addition to any team. I guess I just want someone on the Lakers that will come to play. 6'9 248 and 28 years old. Wish we had money to spend or some sign and trade options.

I'm confused, in your OP you said we can't afford him, so what's the point of this thread again?
I'm not a fan of his personally, mediocre rebounder, and undersized.

Yeah I think you already know the Lakers' situation ... they're not spending any real money.
The Lakers' bench will consist of Steve Blake, Johnson-Odom, Grant Hill and Jordan Hill/Jermaine O'Neal and/or Tolliver/Shawne Williams.
It ain't sexy, but you deal with the cards that are dealt.
I'd be very pleasantly surprised if they inked Jordan Hill. If he leaves, his minutes will fall to McRoberts and O'Neal.

Why is it so quiet on the Jordan Hill front?
Does anyone know who is in pursuit of his services?

Good luck with that because no one wants him.

He's talking to a few teams, it all depends whether he wants to be a starter and lose or be our 6th man and win

Because he is waiting for the Batum situation to work itself out. If the Wolves get Batum, then Hill will probably resign with us. If Portland matches, the Wolves will throw Hill a contract that we can't match.

Plus guys have to remember that the numbers you put up in losing situations don't always carry over to a winning situation.

We cant afford him but Deep, Landry averaged some pretty good numbers in the first round playoffs on the Hornets. That's not exactly a losing situation taking the Lakers to 6. His numbers WERE better in Houston on a worse team, but he had pretty good numbers on the Hornets playoff team when he took over for David West after his big injury.
