Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Adam Silver says it's "likely" some sort of plan for jersey advertisements would be implemented next season.
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
The current idea, which Silver said needs more discussion, is to have a 2-by-2 advertisement patch on the shoulder of jerseys.
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Silver says guidelines on jersey ads would be in effect for next season, but the ads wouldn't appear on jerseys until the following season.
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Silver says his sense is that every team is in favor of jersey ads in some form.
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Silver says it's very difficult to project, but believes teams could generate $100 million per year through jersey ads.

Would be neat to see jerseys filled like Nascar cars, maybe I should just say Nascars?

I hope this doesn't mean I'm going to have more Budweiser logos in my face, it's gonna suck if they gotta focus that camera on each ad to please all parties

you won't even notice them in a few years time.

if football is the most successful sport in the world and they're doing it, why not? get over it. Whatever is good for basketball is good enough for me.

I've said on other forums that I'm all for it if it helps the NBA get out of debt and helps lower ticket prices for us since they're making more money somewhere else.
BUT they won't lower ticket prices so **** em

It would be interesting what sort of brands the NBA will be advertising.
McDonalds?
Budweiser?
KFC?
We'll see if they advertise with fans and kids in mind... or if they are just in it for the bottom line

I agree with Ima. Does this fall under BRI? Would result in higher salary caps if so.

Stupid but inevitable.
I remember I cringed when I first heard that the Forum was going to be called "The Great Western Forum"
I'm surprised it's taken the NBA this long to start advertising on the jerseys.
