if hes actually interested, and not just as a ploy to get his name out there, id like him off the bench. hill/kmart bench front court can be a pretty nice duo, given the right price.

I don't see why he'd come to the Lakers if he doesn't want the veteran's minimum? Also considering HIll/Jamison were resigned it doesn't make much sense (although he'd be a solid back up off the bench).

It would make sense for us, him being our 5th big, after we would then trade McBOB for a wing.
But for him? There's no way he takes the minimum and a 5th big man role.... he could prolly be a 3rd big some where....

Just trade for Dwight, Sign Barbosa already and call it an offseason ; )

actually i think were all set for bigs, we need a backup 1/2 (barbosa) and a backup 3 unless they want to use Ebanks for that...

What if Jamison plays some back up 3, and Ebanks back up 2? Our bench gets BIG

Nash/Blake/Morris
Kobe/Ebanks/Glock
Ron/Jamison/Eyenga
Pau/Kmart/McBob
Bynum/Hill

I think Eyenga is mostly going to be playing 2 because in the summer league he wasnt strong enough to deal with 3s but thats cool because hes 6'7 and im pretty sure Jamison will be playing some 3 so yea were going to be pretty damn BIG :D

Kenyon Martin and Metta World Peace too much reactionary basketball not enough cerebral basketball, this would not be a good mix.

This is a 100% pure BS rumor. Lakers have zero interest and Martin probably has zero interest due to our inability to pay anything not Vet min.

+1 And he had the chance to come here last year & chose not to.

He would be nice for some defense. But as others said, do not see him coming for the vets. min. Would be nice. If no one signs him before the season starts. Then he might cave and come for the vet low.

Ebanks is a 6'8" small forward... K Mart isn't coming to LA... We need a 2/3 more than a 1/2... I say sign Delfino for vet min & move on...

please no! he complained about his playing time on the clips and became somewhat of a problem. imagine his frustration when he has to share forward minutes w/ pau, jhill, and antawn jamison? don't do it mitch!

The Lakers are pursuing Kenyon Martin. The Knicks are likely too. But will he sign for the vet min? He makes a lot of sense for both teams.

No one knows more about the Lakers plans than the New York media. We really don't need another distraction.

A second NY source quoting the first NY source is even more solid.
