He'll be runner up to Philly's GM. They got Bynum for Iggy+low lottery pick Harless(likely a bust).

Easily. Secondly Jim Buss deserves credit too. Most guys here wanted Bynum traded for Melo & many others. Instead he held his chips until the right time

The NBA will never reward the Lakers Organization the Executive of the Year or Coach of the Year awards ever.
IN 2008-2009 Mitch constructed a masterpiece and they gave it to the Denver Nuggets owner instead!?!?!?!
The season prior the Lakers:
-Traded for a Prime Pau Gasol for Caron, Kwame
and a underdeveloped (over weight at that time) Marc Gasol.
-Traded BRIAN COOK for Trevor Ariza. LMAO
-Extended Bynum which at the time was too much money but it paid off after two Championships.
-Minus the fact of picking to sign Sasha Vujacic over Ronny Turiaf he rose his pimp hand like always.
-Traded the Space Cadet Radmonivic for Shannon Brown.
As for the Coach of the Year award , we had Phil Jackson. Nuff Said.
He's never won any as a Lakers coach.
In fact he's only got one of those trophies in 1996 with the Chicago Bulls.
Unbelievable.

They'll probably give it to the Hornets GM. It was part of the "Reconstruction" deal.
